Our second stay at this lovely Hotel. It’s very relaxing, comfortable & very clean, the staff are great. We really enjoyed using the outdoor & indoor heated pool’s. The Spa facilities are amazing. The food was fantastic. Easy 5 minute walk into Zell am See centre. We took the train to Salzburg for a day trip which only cost €19 return for both of us, bargain. Can thoroughly recommend.

We are a family of three who stayed at the hotel at the beginning of October 2024. There are no words to describe the amazing experience. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed at the reception by Jill. It was an extremely warm welcome. From the minute we stepped into the hotel we could feel the warmth and beauty in everything. The hotel is amazingly decorated with every single detail given attention. One can feel the love and attention given to every corner . We were taken to our room which was beautiful, again attention to every single detail. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The room had a beautiful view to the mountains and to Zell Am See. The food was so delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were given personal attention from the hotel staff. All were amazing!!! However, Peter from the bar was probably the best barman I have ever met in my life. He is one of a kind , a real class!! The spa and wellness center was just amazing. Again, I have never experienced such an attitude in my whole life. And the wellness center is wow, wow, wow. The garden surrounding the hotel is just beautiful , words cannot express. Although the hotel is top class you feel the warmth all the way . It is truly one of a kind experience. We cannot to wait to be back to this amazing place! Book it, don’t think twice! My husband and I are lucky to travel quite a bit and this is the best hotel 5 star hotel we have ever visited. The room is so spacious, clean, and comfortable. The amenities are wonderful. The spa and pool are unparalleled. The food at the restaurant is first class. Most importantly, the staff (have to specifically name Stela and Josip) is professional, helpful, and incredibly kind!

This beautiful and extremely well-appointed hotel is expensive, but that's understandable because it offers so much. It is like a mini resort in itself. In fine weather, it is a haven for those who want to walk on mountains or around the nearby lake, or wish to play golf nearby. As other reviewers have described, there is food available all day, from the extensive breakfast with hot items cooked to order, the lunch buffet, the afternoon cakes, and the six-course evening meal. This was our fourth visit in nine years, but it will also be our last - and not because of the freak weather which swept through Central Europe, resulting in non-stop heavy rain for all four days of our stay. The hotel is under new management since the owner, Frau Holleis, took a well-earned back seat, and it shows. Peter is still in the bar and Jill is still in reception; both of them are friendly and efficient and a credit to the hotel, as is the charismatic Elena in the restaurant. Our disappointment arose from a series of niggles which you don't expect from a five-star hotel. I was peeved that when making the booking in May, not just a credit card but a 35% deposit was required to confirm the reservation; that never used to happen here. As on previous visits, I wrote and asked if we could be picked up at the railway station, stating the time of our arrival, and I received a confirmation that we would be met. We weren't. When we walked into the hotel, there was no apology (that didn't come until we were leaving), just a receptionist saying "Did you ring us?". We weren't even told that you now have to claim a welcome drink in the bar; that used to be served in reception immediately upon arrival, while your luggage was taken to your room. Nor were we told about the new lunch buffet or its location. It probably sounds trivial, but if you order coffee with hot milk at breakfast and only the coffee arrives, it tends to go cold while you are waiting for the re-ordered milk to appear. Furthermore, if you order a bottle of wine with dinner and the waiter takes it away, it is annoying when you have keep trying to catch his attention to bring it back and refill your glasses! Since our third visit in 2019, the evening meals have become more pretentious and sometimes slightly weird, such as when fish with calf's head risotto was on the menu. Some of the courses served were rather tasteless. Yes, most of these points are minor irritations and have to be kept in context when there is so much suffering in places such as Ukraine and the Middle East, but in total they resulted in an underwhelming experience.
