Just returned from the Lebzelter Hotel in Zell am See, and it was truly a magical experience! The staff go out of their way to assist, and to make you feel very much at home in this excellent family run hotel. The food and service was outstanding, the rooms are very comfortable, and the views over the lake and across the mountains were just spectacular. We stayed a week, but would have loved to have extended the visit. We will certainly return and tell everyone about this very special place in Austria. Thank you to all the fantastic staff for making it such a wonderful holiday!

“Lunch not a stay”

Came to the sports bar downstairs for lunch one day, sitting outside which was very nice. My husband had goulash soup (which was spicy but good, he said) and I had bratwurst (good); both came with bread. Service was fast and friendly and prices standard for the local area.

“False advertising basic standard”

How disappointed we're we!! The room that was allocated to us was very dark very small very depressing to think we had booked to stay for 7 nights. How disappointed we're we!! The room that was allocated to us was very dark very small very depressing to think we had booked to stay for 7 nights. This room did not bear any resemblance to any of the posted photos which helped us so we thought to make a good choice of accommodation. After informing reception of this only to be told that the photos they use as only for advertising purposes and the small double told that is what was booked that is what we got, together with they were "fully booked"!!!! However we did eventually get offered an "upgrade" to the double room pictured on their online platforms. We had booked half board, the food was below average to the point of barely basic. We were left hungry after every meal, as the combinations were less than palatable, most meals arrived with rice or rice and peas, no other vegetables, apart from plain boiled potatoes. We really didn't expect to have chicken wings with wedges for our main meal in the hotel restaurant. We had chosen this hotel after checking the reviews on tripadvisor which seems to praise this hotel for good all round standards. The daily cleaning of the rooms was exceptional, the location to the city express lift was within easy 5 minutes stroll slight up hill but manageable in ski boots. Lovely central location, zell am zee it's self is so picturesque. It's just a shame that it appears that the owners priority was not the paying guests who we're staying at the hotel, but the paying patrons frequenting the bar, the food available in there looked delicious so we couldn't understand why the food in the hotel section was so inadequately mediocre. The waiting staff were super efficient to the point they would take your plate away even though the other members of your party hadn't finished eating their meal. It was as if they could wait for everyone to finish and go so they could finish and go. Day three no black teabags at breakfast really!!! Was told that they had earl grey which was the same !!!! Just very disappointing
