“Lovely place”

Very comfortable beds, great food, staff were fantastic. Could not fault the location. Central to all the alpes. Victoria is a absolute asset to your team such a bubbly character. The whole team were amazing. Only one thing I would like to see would be coffee making facilities

Lovely hotel amongst stunning scenery. Just spent an amazing 5 nights at hotel Tyrol with Lynn's travel. The hotel is Absolutely lovely the rooms are spacious and very clean and on arrival we found a couple of small bottles of spirits on the table and some chocolate ladybirds on the bedding for us to enjoy. The food in the restaurant was presented really well and the choice of food on the menu's in the evening was amazing and very tasty. Definitely need a big appetite as you have between 5 and 7 courses everynight, you can of course skip some courses if you prefer. Breakfast is buffet style with lots of different choices. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and made you feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My husband and I have just returned from a one week holiday at Hotel Tyrol. We love Austria and try and visit every year but this year was probably one of our most disappointing hotel stays. Our check in was great but this is perhaps where it ends. We were assigned a room on the first floor which was stuffy, small and outdated. We headed back down to reception to ask if another room was available and although the lady said the hotel was full we were told to return the following morning. We left everything in our cases (probably a good thing as there’s hardly any storage!) and headed out for the rest of the day. After a poor night’s sleep we returned to the front desk the next morning to be told by another hotel employee that the room we were doing to move to was ‘no bigger’ than the one we currently had and to return the next morning. After explaining again that we simply wished to unpack and begin our holiday he finally relented and we moved rooms. The new room was bigger and brighter (but still not great) but at least it meant we could finally unpack. We were half board but most times we opted to eat away from the hotel due to the unfriendliness and abruptness of the waiting staff. The hotel pool and food (on the few occasions we ate) was excellent but in all honesty we were glad to leave. Soll is an incredible resort but I imagine there are a multitude of better options when looking for a place to stay. We always feel looked after and made to feel welcome but sadly this time it was not the case.

“Lovely hotel but not disabled friendly.”

We stayed for 5 nights as part of a coach tour. The hotel is lovely and the staff were fantastic . The food - breakfast and evening meal- was the best we have ever had on any tour. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel location is perfect. However.... My husband uses a small mobilty scooter , with which we have travelled worldwide with no issues. There was a portable ramp at the entrance to the hotel which was at such a steep angle that it would have been dangerous to have used it. We ended up pushing the scooter up and down the ramp which wasn't easy . The lift inside was small but we were able to get the scooter inside, although not our suitcase at the same time. There are also a few steps down to the bar area, which my husband was able to manage okay, but anyone permanatly in a wheelchair would not. At dinner, the lovely lady on reception pointed out a suitable place to leave the scooter- no problem. But later we we were challenged by a man who I believe was the manager who told us we could not bring the scooter inside the hotel as it would wear out the carpet. I actually thought he was joking but he went on to say "What would it be like if we had 10 of those in here?" He told us we could park it and charge it in the garage. I explained that my husband could not walk that far, to which he replied that we could bring it in then, but he would have to charge us for wear and tear to the carpet or else we would have to find some other solution. I dont know what he was thinking of proposing but I pointed out that our room was not carpeted, just the entrance and lift area -our room being right opposite the lift. He dropped the subject after that but we were nevertheless worried because my husband can only walk a few yards. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation, it left both of us feeling very uncomfortable, embarrassed and quite anxious. We didn't use any of the lesiure facilities so I can't comment on their accessibility, but it is definitely not a disabled friendly hotel. We didn't have any exceptional demands or expectations- just access requirements. Very disappointing.
