Perfect location on a quiet side street. Cleaning staff varied during our 9 day stay but most were friendly and helpful. Exactly the kind of mattresses we like. Used the laundry service once, got it back the next day nicely folded. Good food all around (highly recommend Da Capo, but make a reservation!). It seems most rooms are split level with steps down from the kitchen to living area, which are illuminated by a night light that was a little bright for us but is switchable on/off so no problem. What they didn't have but IMHO would be good is a similar night light in the bathroom to avoid both blasting yourself with bright light in the middle of the night, but more so to avoid using the wrong switch that activates the ceiling fan which, while perfectly normal, can seem loud at that time of night. But there's a sturdy door between kitchen/bath and living area, the walls are extremely thick, so really no issue. We never heard a thing from any neighbor (we're small town country folk so a quiet environment is a bigger deal to us than most). Would absolutely stay again and recommend highly!

This apartment hotel is a little gem. It is perfectly situated in the inner city. You can easily walk to the many sites nearby. There is a great grocery store nearby and excellent places to eat. This is the perfect place between a hotel and an airbnb. You have the convenience of a 24 hour desk (someone can help you at any hour), daily cleaning of the apartment and the extra space. However, if you enjoy the vibe of a hotel lobby and a place to sit downstairs amongst all the comings and goings - you won’t find it here. The apartment is spotlessly clean and we had the most wonderful stay here. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so all the Appartement-Hotel an der Riemergasse for such a great experience.

“Don’t hesitate to book this wonderfully unique hotel”

Overall an excellent 5 nights’ stay in a clean, comfortable & centrally located hotel. LOCATION: Located within Vienna’s Inner Stadt we were within walking distance (2-15 minutes) from all major attractions such as St Stephan’s Cathedral; St Peter’s Cathedral; pedestrian friendly Kartnerstrasse, Graben & Neumarkt; State Opera House; Hofburg; Sisi Museum; Spanish Riding School (for Lipizaner stallions); Kunsthistorisches (museum); and Stadtpark. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Closest U-Bahn (subway) stations from Appartement-Hotel An Der Riemergasse are Stubentor (3 minutes walk) and Stephansplatz (7 minutes walk). Belvedere Palace and Schonbrunn Palace are further away so will require taking Vienna’s efficient public transit system. As our visit to Vienna was 7 days and included a visit to Kahlenberg on the outskirts of Vienna and a sunny afternoon spent at a heurigen, we purchased a 7 Days Vienna weekly ticket for 17.10€ per adult that covers all modes of public transit such as U-Bahn (subway), trams and buses. One way single ticket is 2.40€, but price is slightly higher at 2.60€ if you take a tram and buy a ticket onboard. There are also public transit tickets for 1 day at 5.80, 24 hour at 8.00€, 48 hours at 14.10€, 72 hours at 17.10€, 7 days at 17.10€, and 31 days at 51€. Check current prices and buy tickets on OBB Tickets app or Wien Mobil app. You can also buy these transit-only tickets & passes at a major train station ticket office or booth, or from an automated ticket machine. Remember to validate your ticket before you board a subway, tram or bus. ROOM: We booked a 40 m2 Superior Studio Room 106 which is one floor above the hotel’s reception office that is located on the mezzanine floor. Rooms can be accessed by walking up the spiral marble staircase or taking the elegantly converted elevator that accommodates 2 adults and their luggages. Room was clean and spacious at 40m2 (approx. 400 sqft) with high ceilings and includes a small kitchenette with bar fridge, dishwasher, 2-burner electric stove top, Nespresso coffee machine, a small electric kettle, a small selection of tea (green and chamomile). Cupboards were stocked with dishes, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery for 4 people, and also some pots & pans. Hotel also provided dish soap and sponge and a dish towel. Bathroom included a large walk-in shower with both rain shower and hand held shower. Good water pressure. Natural hair & body wash was provided. Bathroom sink and counter was sizeable to store both our toiletries and makeup bags. Hotel provided 2 glasses, a disposable nail file, shower cap and a lightly scented natural body lotion, and a decent plug-in hair dryer (not the awful wall mounted dryer hose). A heated towel rack was also available. Toilet was in the bathroom but located in a separate closet with a sliding door. Upon arrival the 2 twin beds we requested was set up as a king size bed. Once informed the hotel was quick to remedy the situation and we slept very comfortably on our twin beds which were larger than a standard twin bed. Hotel also offers high, medium or low fill pillows. Bedroom is large with high ceilings and double pane windows that can be opened for fresh air. There is a portable AC unit attached to the second set of windows that runs but can be noisy. There are 2 parlour chairs and a desk with chair in the room. A carved wooden closet with some shelves, a safe & steam iron along with a built-in luggage bench and coat hooks are also in the room. Hotel is located in a quiet part of Inner Stadt district so we didn’t hear the boisterous crowds who congregated on the weekend near St Stephen’s Cathedral, Kartnerstrasse and Graben. Also did not hear other hotel guests. Note however there is currently a conversion of a building into a Marriott Residenz (apartment hotel?) across the street on Riemergasse during our late May- early June 2024 stay which will wake you because construction crew start work at 7am on weekdays. Suggest wearing earplugs if you want to sleep in later. Overall a wonderful 5 nights’ stay at Appartement-Hotel An Der Riemergasse! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Vienna in the future.

We booked this hotel for a 2-day stay in Austria. The location is wonderful. It’s very centrally located but might be a little easy to miss when you’re looking for it. It’s in a very nondescript location. But there are plenty of restaurants and bars right around the corner. You can walk to most tourist attractions. The building itself is fairly old but it had a cute and quaint feel to it. The elevator is beautiful and definitely gives those old-school, historic feels that you love to see when visiting this part of Europe. I booked a studio room for two people and it was very efficient and spacious. You’re not going to get modern, up-to-date facilities here, but the room was very clean and had just what we needed. It was very easy to control the room temperature as well, which is always great. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a clean, efficient, centrally located hotel that won’t break the bank - and if you’re planning a short 2-3 day stay.
