Where do I start , from the moment we arrived until the minute we left all of the staff were amazing and really made us feel welcome and valued as a customer. The reception staff were so helpful and every answer to a question was "yes " we can do that - so refreshing in this day and age. We had a beautiful room on the top (8th ) floor with amazing views over the city skyline. The room was very large and spotlessly clean. Very large bed which was so comfortable . There was a large desk and chair , chaise longue , coffee tables and an additional armchair. The tea and coffee tray was well stocked and had bottled water and a very quick boiling kettle ! My only comment was the Air Conditioning struggled to keep the room cool during the high temperatures we had. There was a safe in the wardrobe, along with slippers and " waffle " robes the wardrobe was huge with plenty of hanging space and lots of shelves, an iron , ironing board and very efficient hairdryer. The bathroom was also quite large with a claw foot bath and separate wet room which had multiple shower jets . The bathroom was also spotless with beautiful fluffy " waffle " towels. We had breakfast every morning which was a real treat , super friendly and helpful staff along with a bewildering choice of hot and cold food. The breakfast was quite incredible and we spent over an hour each morning relaxing and sampling lots of delicious goodies. The hotel is beautifully presented and decorated , the multiple lifts were quick and efficient. We used the swimming pool every day , a real bonus given the extreme temperatures we experienced during our stay , 35 degrees ! The pool was open until 21.30 which meant you could be out sightseeing all day and then relax when back at the hotel. The pool was not heated and was quite " fresh " but fine once you were in , we didn't use the gym but it seemed very busy . The hotel is very centrally placed a few minutes walk from the Eschenbach Palace where we enjoyed several classical concerts , about 15 minutes walk to the main square and 20 minutes to the Danube where we took a river cruise. The airport is approximately 20/25minute Taxi ride away. An amazing hotel , we will definitely be back.

“First class experience”

Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, great shower. The breakfast was excellent, I enjoyed the cherries. A first class experience, very conviently located near the opera. A different experience than the nearby Sacher Hotel, more in tune with the times I would say.

Traveled here with my adult daughter for her 30th birthday. I am a silver Marriott reward member and have been a committed member to this company for years. Checked in online prior to my arrival and was asked what my arrival time would be. 3 pm was my anticipated time which also happens to be the hotel’s regular check in time. We arrived at 3:05pm only to find that the room “we were assigned” was not ready at 3 pm! The regular hotel check in time! No apology was given by our front desk attendant. We were given a room instead on the 2nd floor, the lowest floor of the hotel, leaving me wondering what room we would have been staying in. We could hear the busy street at all hours from our room. Then when given a new room number there was no help to how to get to our room (219) and then we wander to the opposite side of the hotel absolutely lost. It took three employees to actually know where the hotel rooms of the hotel they work at are. Even rooms on one side of the hotel and odd numbers on the other and separate elevators to get to either side (we were not told this) There are stairs on the floors so you’re clunking around your luggage to and from the room. Entering the room, it was spacious. The sheets were not tucked in and disarray on one of the beds. Bathroom has strange, open shower. Absolutely no counter space unless you are traveling alone. We were also kept awake by a strange clicking noise that seemed to be coming from the closet where the iron/blow dryer was located. Now it was a great location and the best service we had was from a lovely server in the You restaurant. We do not plan on staying here again.
