“Well located comfortable hotel”

Very nice hotel in excellent location in a quiet square near public transport , including bus from the airport. Also easy to walk to most of the central places....museums restaurants etc. Comfortable room and good bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful. Highly recommend.

We loved it here! We stayed from Dec. 6th - 9th. The staff was so friendly and helpful and it was quite convenient to get to places!! We were here for three nights and my family is still talking about how fresh their croissants were for breakfast. The rooms were very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Vienna is just breathtaking with such amazing architecture and history…not to mention the beautiful, beautiful churches! The K & K was a great choice for our family to walk to these places and/or take a quick train.

We had an attic room on the top floor which was a little small but still with decent space, however a tall person might have a problem with the roof in places. The bed was large and reasonably comfortable and the walk-in shower was decent. Room was well maintained and clean. The hotel does not serve lunches or dinners. Breakfast was standard continental but with a limited hot option available. Food quality was good. There is a bar of sorts in the reception area but it looked pretty soleless and we never saw it used. The hotel is in a very quiet area near the Danube Canal with a small park opposite. About a ten minute walk from the nearest underground and trams, and only a five minute walk from the direct airport bus (VAL 2 service). About a fifteen minute (pleasant) walk through the city centre to the Rathaus area or St Stephens Cathedral. Recommended.

Not a 4star experience unfortunately, the hotel is able to trade on its excellent location in proximity to Vienna’s central sights and airport connection on the VAL2 bus route which was good. We had booked a package with Jet2 with and early morning flight but were told on arrival check-in was not till 3pm. There are no comfortable seating areas in reception just one lounge chair and 4-5 high bar stools. Several people arriving after us were allocated their rooms before us. The rooms were clean but average with a bit dated decor and basic tea and coffee facilities. We had an issue with the heated towel rail being so hot it was pumping heat into the bedroom so we were unable to sleep - Reception did quickly sort this out and got housekeeping to turn down the setting but the room was still over warm and we slept with the window open for the rest of our stay - thankfully the beds were very comfortable. (No water in room though there was a fridge) At 24 euros pp we felt breakfast was overpriced and didnt look appealing to our tastes so we went to the excellent Brillo grocery store on the square and enjoyed excellent Apricot pastries and granola, fruit and yogurt for a fraction. We arranged a late check out with one of the female receptionists the day before departure as we had an evening flight. However the next day we were hounded with several phone calls from the rather rude and impolite older man on reception informing us we should have checked out at 11 am and could we return to the hotel, disrupting our prebooked visit to the Sisi museum and only further adding to our dissatisfaction with the hotel and this staff member in particular. It’s a shame as a hotel in this location has huge potential- it’s functional, clean and in a good spot but we felt lacked facilities and level of service you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
