The price-quality ratio is very positive! There are numerous nice pubs around with a variety of cuisines. A very nice walking route to the very center and the most important points of the city! Good breakfast, I think everyone will find something for themselves, always fresh. A nice surprise is prosecco served with Sunday breakfast! The rooms were cleaned every day, very thoroughly. Nice and helpful staff! I recommend it ☺️

The breakfast is very good with a range of food that most people should leave satisfied. If not included you can buy separately for €15 per person per day. The rooms lack tea/coffee facilities but this can be purchased at reception The hotel is 5-10 minute walk to the U4 underground station. The Ubahn network is a quick way to get around There is also a tram line near Margaretengurtel station that takes you to/from the main train station. Ibis hotels offer good quality, consistently clean rooms. This one ticked all the boxes for us.

A decent, value-for-money budget hotel in Vienna. The hotel might be dated, but my double room was clean, tidy and perfect for a base for exploring the city. The hotel is right in between two metro stations - Pilgramgasse and Margaretengürtel. Exit from Margaretengürtel if you have big luggages as it has a lift. The neighbourhood is quiet and mostly residential, but there are Billa and Spar supermarkets within walking distance. The location is just 4 metro stops away from the main Stephansplatz area. The room was tidy, but the amenities are very basic - no tea and cups, bathroom slippers and no shampoo in my room. But a small downside (in my opinion), when you look at the location and price. Tip: Opt for a room with a city view on the upper floors (I stayed on the 7th). You will hear light railway sounds from the nearby Pilgramgasse train station, but that didn't affect my sleep at all.

First impressions weren’t the best as when I politely asked the man on reception whether I could check in please, his response was just ‘ID’ which wasn’t friendly or greeting at all. But I got my room and it was clean enough with a good bathroom and plenty of storage space. Only thing that confused me was it was 2x single bed duvets on a double bed which is obviously not ideal but I made do. Location was ideal, very short walk up the road to Pilgramgasse station and I always got off at Karlsplatz as the location was ideal for the city centre and a good starting point for a walk. Would stay here again if visiting Vienna but a little bit of customer service training can turn this experience from ‘pretty good’ to ‘good’.
