We have recently visited this hotel and it was a great place to stay. We were greeted with a smile from the receptionist and were very friendly. Their English was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was no kettle, only a coffee machine so we went to reception and immediately got the kettle. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The dining area for breakfast was very full but the variety of food was excellent. It is situated a short walk from the Christmas market and not too far from the centre and the horses. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We are currently staying at the hotel and when we arrived, we were given just the basics of where our room was located and it's the hotel facilities. We weren't given any information, such as where the restaurant for breakfast was located or given any maps of the area. We were hungry and decided to go to the Food and Bar to get a snack and was told that they do not serve food. We are not sure if the restaurant on the lower level served food, but were not advised by the person behind the bar if this was an option. We were awoken at silly am by builders gathering scaffolding materials outside of our room. We know that this isn't the hotels fault, and hopefully, this will get better as the week progresses! Tonight we have come back from a busy day sightseeing, hoping to have a relaxing drink in the hotel bar, to find the bar isn't open this evening, for whatever reason!! It's not really the ideal thing when you are only here for a few nights. The hotel seems pleasantly decorated and the staff at breakfast were first class. It is situated in a great location near to the large Christmas Market at City Hall Square and within walking distance of the whole of Vienna City. It's a lot of money to pay expecting a service and facilities that aren't there. Let's hope the experience gets better.

We booked this hotel 7 months in advance through Expedia and selected (paid extra) for one of the middle options on rooms. When we arrived we got told by the front desk that we were getting what they had left and ended up getting downgraded to the basement. We were tired from travel so didn't make a big deal about it and once we got to our room originally thought "at least it will be quiet". We quickly figured out that we were wrong because we could hear every drop of water that came through the pipes and every time someone flushed the toilet. The walls were super thin, you could hear every conversation in the hall and hear everything from neighboring rooms. We downloaded an app that makes white noise or fan noise in order to get any sleep. We didn't mind the glass shower in the middle of the room and housekeeping did make the bed, replace the towels, and clean a little everyday so that is nice. The room did though have cobwebs in the corners, tons of dead bugs in the lights and these little bugs that would come out late at night in the toilet closet. Had the worst Old Fashioned I've ever had at the bar, but the beer was good! We stayed a week at the hotel and never once did the staff check in with us or great us upon our return, so hospitality was pretty non-existent. The biggest positive about the hotel was that it was a block from the main Christmas Market. If it wasn't for the proximity to the Christmas Markets, we would have probably stayed somewhere else.
