A clean tidy hotel / guest house/ B&B which really only does bed and breakfast, no restaurant, but really friendly helpful staff. Don’t expect a 4 star facility because that’s not what you are paying for. Stay again- yes

“Clean, comfortable and spacious”

We stayed in the City Rooms, Josefstadt, in October 2019 and found the accommodation to be excellent. We had an extremely spacious room with plentiful wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom was enormous! There were two showers, a bath and his and hers sinks. The toilet was separate. Shower gel and hand soap were complimentary. Hot water was always available. The bed was tremendously comfortable. There was a small fridge. Maid service was daily. The room was kept exceptionally clean and always at a pleasant temperature. The only thing that could have made it better was if the room had contained tea and coffee-making facilities. We arrived outside of check-in hours but were able to check-in independently and found the process very easy due to detailed instructions we’d received prior to our arrival. When we did visit the Reception Desk we found the staff to be very helpful. We ate breakfast at the hotel on the last day prior to our journey to the airport and it was very good. It was continental style; there was a large variety and everything was very fresh. For 8 Euros each we found it very reasonable. There were coffee and vending machines in the Reception area which was really convenient. (This area can be accessed at all times using your key card). We found the location in Josefstadt to be superb; the city centre was within walking distance but there were also excellent public transport links just minutes away (Trams 5 and 33 stop almost directly outside). There were restaurants, cafes and other amenities within walking distance. I would not hesitate to recommend City Rooms to anybody intending to visit the beautiful city of Vienna! We hope to return one day.

This is a very good hotel. The location is good , near the ring' university and the municipality and parliament The room is good, good service and response to all special requests. Prices are quite low, and you get a goo value for your money .
