“Great location”
Absolutely beautiful hotel, situated less than a 5 minute walk from Alser Strasse station. Staff are very helpful, friendly and courteous, the bar is open 24 hours. You can catch local transport into the centre of Vienna or it’s about a 30 minute walk.

Fabulous Hotel that we feel provides great value. We travelled Feb 2025 and stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. Now to be honest a couple of observations to get out of the way first. We stayed in room 405 which was both spacious and very nicely fitted out however bathroom could have done with a heater/radiator as we stayed in February so a bit chilly when you get out the shower but it is ensuite so we just left the door open. Water pressure is a bit the low side for the shower, and the big towels are a little on the thin side and only just big enough, that saying none of these are bad enough to stop us from recommending this fine hotel and awarding our 5 star review. Now the great bits and I mean great not good...very quiet even though it's on a main road. Staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Beds are superb, breakfast is amazing, caters for pretty much every taste, very clean throughout and rooms well maintained. All staff seem busy and active which gives you reassurance things are getting done....even saw the owner running around this morning too!. Open 24hrs so we went to both the Opera and a concert whilst we stayed there and getting back late was never a problem. A lovely touch is they are constantly playing classical music in the background in the public areas (reception breakfast bar etc)..even outside the main entrance. It is also VERY close to an Underground station which gets you into the thick of all Vienna has to offer. if you are allergic to trains then there is a tramline stop literally out side the front door. Lengthy review I know, but our first trip to Vienna was magical and our stay at this fab hotel helped it become one of our most memorable trips ever. Austria are truly blessed to have such a lovely capital (it's so clean, transit systems are superb, lots of art & culture). We were left with the feeling this team genuinely want to be a succesful business and in our opinion they are worthy of 5 stars from us,

When I entered my hotel room at the Donauwalzer I was immediately put at ease by the soothing classical music coming from the Teufel desk radio. Then my eye turned towards the small design elements reflecting Viennese culture. It was cheerful without being loud or intrusive (or tasteless). Even though the hotel is situated along a very busy thoroughfare, the soundproofing kept all of the noise outside. When I wanted to get to the city center, the 44 tram always seemed to be right outside ready to take me to the Schottentor, gateway to the Innerestadt. The live Strauss at breakfast was wonderful. The owner is often on the premises, and, along with his entire staff, is very agreeable. The only b-mol was the fact that I was charged 25 euros to enter my room early upon my arrival even though it was already available. Most hotels let you into your room, without charge, if it is ready.

“Good value, great breakfast”
Great place for leisure travellers. Very convenient location for just about everything. Friendly, efficient check-in and checkout. Plentiful breakfast, with lots of choices and great food. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Sparsely appointed lobby that lacks atmosphere.
