Great location, just 5 min by foot from the railway station, which provide not only short distance regional services but also some international connections ( from Munich in my case). Two stops of the waterbus like ship service on the Wörthersee are close by as well. The main assest of the place is the pier like wooden platform by which comfortable lake access is given. Due to facing west, I could enjoy great sunsets over Velden at the western end of the lake and the Slovene and Italian mountains summits at the horizont. The catering service has been revamped the beach lounge like club adjunct to the lake platform serves small and medium snack like dishes as well as drinks and cocktail. A breakfast service is available but there are other places and option in walking distance. Same goes for diner options. A detail you have to consider is that „my lakes“ is not a classical hotel, but more like a condominium property where the owners pools together to rent their respective units ( smallest appr. 330 square feet/ 30 sqm) to holidaymakers. The employee some staff, but not 24/7, the bar/ food service is outsourced.

The hotel has a very good location if you want to enjoy the lake with your family, the rooms are comfortable and breakfast is OK.Unfortunately, most of the staff members seem arrogant to non-regulars and the food is overpriced for a very average quality. Not suitable to vegetarians or vegans, the options are very limited. Even when I asked for a plant-based yoghurt alternative, the answer was no and they did not even try to accomodate me any further. This would be OK in an average priced hotel, but I would expect a better service for this price. Regarding the overall feel of the hotel, it is spacious and bright, however, one does not feel much care is paid to make it feel cosy and warm, the decor seems pretty old and not very sophisticated.

“Messy service, nice location ”

We had a lunch at Lakes which is not only available for hotel guests. Personnel is friendly and location has a nice vibe next to the lake. The chairs are not really comfortable. The food is good but the service is messy and regularly things went wrong at our table and others.
