“Overall good”

Nice hotel - friendly staff - great views. Rooms fairly basic and room service food was not great -despite being expensive. Bit tight with teas/coffee facilities in the rooms which were not reliably replenished. But location was gorgeous and staff very pleasant.

I have stayed here a number of times (before becoming an Accor member). I love the beds and pillows, they are like sleeping on clouds. The rooms are always clean. And the service has generally been great. The beach across the road is a huge draw card. This stay though, on my first night, my room phone rang at 12:45 am. I called reception back thinking it was something important and the trite girl said "sorry, we were testing the phones. Did it wake you?". Seriously? I went down to reception to talk about it. Her tone and manner inflamed the situation. Also, I ordered the prawn and crab linguine to my room for dinner. It was delicious however the prawns were chopped so small. I'd guess I got 2 prawns in the whole meal that were diced. Disappointing for a hotel like this. I live in a country town 4hrs inland and my local Italian restaurant gives at least 12 whole prawns in their prawn linguine. It seems a gross money grab. I am also surprised that the tv does not have streaming capability. This seems like something that's should be standard now

Loved that we got an upgrade to an ocean view room. But gasped as we stepped out of the elevator to be hit by stifling heat in the foyer hallways to the room! No air-conditioning. Loved that we got an upgrade to an ocean view room. But gasped as we stepped out of the elevator to be hit by stifling heat in the foyer hallways to the room! No air-conditioning. Then the room had filthy smeary mirrors except in the bathroom and the basin was all cracked. Needs a good clean and repaint plus air-conditioning in the passage area. Not 5 star i remember!

The stay began with an unhelpful checkin when the staff member told me that I was not entitled to a welcome drink as a Gold Accor member. I had already received the vouchers in my app so I knew I was correct but I was not going to argue with her. I certainly was not made to feel welcomed as an Accor member and my husband asked me if I thought there was any point being a member when he heard the checkin conversation. Later that same staff member spoke to me via the phone and offered me a late check out and told me that I actually was able to receive a welcome drink. Our room had great views of the beach and the bed was very comfortable. There was only one packet of standard biscuits in the room which I think is stingy, and there was nothing to welcome me as a member. This is the first Accor hotel I’ve been to where I have not received a special treat eg fancy biscuits, chocolates or fruit. Breakfast was average. Great location, and I really enjoyed my swim in the pool.
