We booked a micro double room and didn’t really have high expectations, however what we were greeted with was such a pleasant surprise. The room was equipped with everything we could’ve needed over our stay. The bed was super comfy and the shower was huge. The location is ideal! Minutes walk from Chinatown, lovely cafes and the trains. The reception and housekeeping team were welcoming and helpful across our stay. The lift was out of order but we appreciated the effort of complimentary iced tea when we got to our floor. Brilliant hotel.

“Nice place”

Ok hotell. The room was a bit small, but modern and tidy. The elevator didnt work, but they carried our luggage to the room. Serviceminded and friendly staff. Good location in Sydney near Chinatown. Good money if you just need a place to sleep.

“Warning No Lift”

Nice room and good price but the long term refurbishment of the lift was not mentioned at booking so I felt a bit ripped off. There was also a foul smell in the bathroom which I suspect was a lack of a water trap in the floor drain. Good location for the public transport and close to China town.

Overall, the stay was okay. I booked a Micro Queen room, and would say this is a small room. If you are staying for a weekend or short business trip, I think it is fine. I was staying for 2 weeks, and for a fairly long trip like this, I think I would have preferred a larger room. There was limited space to relax, and nowhere to hang clothes really, although hangers and some wall hooks were provided. I could hear everything going on in the corridor as my bed was so close to the door. I had a few other issues with the room. The coffee machine initially kept leaking water, but this was resolved after reporting it. The fridge was also switched off at the mains, and I didn't realise for 3 days, and was using milk stored in the fridge. Luckily, I didn't get unwell, but I would recommend checking it is switched on at the start of your trip if you are using it! The cleanliness was not always completely up to my standards, sadly, and varied a little from day to day. When I first went into the room, it seemed quite dusty, the carpet as well (I found a nail clipping on the carpet :-( ), and there was a caterpillar hanging from the television! But this improved as my stay went on. The lift was broken during my stay, which was not ideal, but staff went out of their way to help with taking luggage up to rooms, etc. Plus points were that the bed was actually very comfortable, staff tried to be friendly and helpful, and the lobby area was a lovely space to relax in, with very good drinks prices, and a Happy Hour every day. The location was excellent for transport links and other CBD attractions.
