“Great Location and Comfortable with a few very minor issues that can be fixed easily!”

We stayed here June 2024, we stayed in room 1503! Just a small family getaway for my daughter 21, we just wanted comfortable and easy location. Which we got !! Positives:l - Apartment was very spacious with 2 bedroom (kind and 2 singles) and 2 bathrooms, bedding and pillows are super comfortable! - kitchen, lounge and dining area was great also with loads of rooms! - we faced the front of the building towards to busy road but we enjoyed watching the traffic at night and the road noise was there but was just like white noise at night, nothing like the reviews we read - great location, located between Bangaroo and Circular Key and easy walk down to Pitt street, wynard stations and light rail ! - All staff were amazing and we even got a small little welcome gift for my daughter’s birthday! Not Positive parts ( and only minimal for feedback of staff to easily fix) - Air cons need a clean or freshen as it rained all weekend and was cold at night we left the heating on when we went to dinner, when we came home the room smelt like BO or really stale, had to open all the doors to get rid of the smell! - kitchen needs a fry pan, we bought bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast and no frypan - bath in master bedroom has a plug that doesn’t fit so you cannot have a bath - second day only master bedroom bed was made nothing and not the second room which was odd! - TV was very had to operate - remote is very slow, maybe add a new age Tv ! Apart from the above, I would stay again !! Thanks to all the staff !

Thanks for the upgrade. But the traffic was noisy so if you stay here bring earplugs. I had to sleep with noise cancelling headphones but had an ok sleep. TVs don’t have Netflix or anything so I was stuck watching tv on my tiny iPad.oh and one of the blackout blinds in my bedroom was pulled off s... more

Thanks for the upgrade. But the traffic was noisy so if you stay here bring earplugs. I had to sleep with noise cancelling headphones but had an ok sleep. TVs don’t have Netflix or anything so I was stuck watching tv on my tiny iPad.oh and one of the blackout blinds in my bedroom was pulled off so I had to improvise. And the lifts still need to be fixed. They show the wrong floor. Apart from that it’s a good place to stay and Starbucks and the train station are right next door.

We were very happy with the location, since we visited Sydney as tourists. The place was priced well and quite affordable. It is based centre between great tourist destinations and close to train station other transport. Within walking distance from restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. The staff at the hotel were not friendly or very helpful. When issues were raised, attending to it was never priority. Some issues were never resolved. The overall cleanliness of the apartment was below average. There were hair and some dust throughout the apartment and windows were not clean. Appliances and furniture are very old and outdated. Ripped couches and stained carpets. We will think twice next time before visiting The York.

Positives - Great location can walk to all the attractions easily - Great size apartment - Water views from balcony. Negatives - Super noisy, all day and all night - One overworked receptionist probably attending to several guests, leaving the reception area frequently unattended - In need of major refurbishment/repair, many things not working during our stay: spa wasn't working, 1 of the 3 lifts wasn't working, the exhaust fan in BOTH the kitchen or bathroom not working, none of the bedside table lights worked, the instant hot/cold water dispenser also didn't work. - For some reason, we got 2 less towels than the number of guests booked (and one towel had brown spots all over it), there was also not enough bowls, cups or utensils for all the guests either.
