One of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in Australia over the last ten years, maybe even more years than that. Why? On our arrival the receptionist/manager and her assistant took care of the parking, luggage and showed us around the hotels dining area's, dinner and breakfast. Most other places we stay at just give you the room pass key and you need to explore the dining facilties and other features. The room was modern, well appointed with furniture for two people, good bar and snacks, King sized bed provided a good nights sleep. All the blinds in the room are activated by remote control and keep the light out in the morning. We had dinner there on both nights, though the menu was limited in choices, there was enough to keep most diners happy, well it did for us. The manager in charge of the dining was a most entertaining guy, really cared about his guests and we enjoyed the experience. Breakfast was OK, but you could only order off the menu. I still like the pre Covid breakfasts where you could go and select what you wanted to eat. The Pullman Hotel, Albert Park and East Melbourne were outstanding in this area, but I think they have stopped this style of breakfast as well. House keeping was excellent, we met the manageress, my wife requested a shower mat which was delivered in a few minutes. If you drive to stay, valet parking is your only option at Royce, costs $75 per night. I understand the parking is very tight, $75 is better than a $500 plus claim on your insurance company for panel damage. There are commerical car parks on St Kilda Road, for around $20 per day, talk to Royce where they are. This was for our 53 wedding anniversay, as an added bonus from Royce management we received some very fancy cakes and drinks thanks to Cassie and we would like to thank Oliver and Tao. KVC

“Fantastic, boutique-Book it”

James & Miquel at the front desk showed outstanding service, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We took advantage of the valet parking and our car was ready when requested, we were offered free water, and an umbrella when it was raining. James even helped me with our invoice at the end to ensure all charges were correct. Our room was fantastic, bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the overall decor and cleanliness is the best we have seen in a hotel. Location on St Kilda road was perfect, just away from the hustle of the city but the tram stop to get you to the city was right out the front. We will be back. Thank you- Royce Hotel

My husband and I had 5 nights at The Royce and loved our stay. Our room (301) was very comfortable and had one of the best beds we’ve ever slept in. I’ve now bought a pillow topper for our bed at home to recreate the comfort. We had a balcony off our room which had an outdoor setting with plush cushions. There were great teas, a coffee pod machine and Molton Brown toiletries We had breakfast every morning in the conservatory restaurant. There was a large menu and everything we tried was delicious. Coffee was very good Each night we had a glass of wine in the Showroom Bar and we had a lobster roll and octopus one night Service was friendly and helpful We would be happy to stay at the Royce next time we’re in Melbourne

Staff very friendly and helpful. My one disappointment was breakfast. I ordered crumpets which took forever to arrive so our coffee was finished and tea stewed and cold. They were not like any crumpet I had ever had. Other than that, this is amazing hotel in a good location. Walk to Botanical Garden and short tram ride from outside the hotel into the city or a 20 min walk to South Yarra high street. There are cafes and restaurants close by. Domain Village 10 mins walk good for cafes as well.
