St. Kilda Beach Hotel + Location is great, jsut a few meters walk to the beach, to convenience stores, restraurants, bars, and tram + Checkin process and checkout are smooth with helpful staff + all the frontdesk people were very helpful the 3 staff who can speak Filipino were also helpful in terms of language barrier even helped us with redeeming AusOpen tickets and getting around, very helpful. + Love the family owned kitchen restaurant just in the hotels vicinity, love the coffee and the breakfast, they have really big portion for small appetite people like us so we decided to split our orders.. still love the small beach town vibe of the resto. + Staff were all friendly and very helpful, from the cleaners to kitchen staff and hotel staff. + Simple design room with view of street and can open window, has airconditioning, beds were soft, a bit smaller pillow but okay, and clean room. - The overall design is a bit outdated as what other comments would say which i agree - the carpet in the lobby has stain, that doesnt look so pleasing for the guests - the elevator is slow and cant seem to find stairs - window cannot fully open just slight open, i understand for safety purposes but maybe a bit more opening would be better, and also dust accumulating through the said window area since its rarely opened. All in all the positive experiences outshines the little minor annoyances and suggestion that we have... Must really commend the staff that helped us, and feel welcomed. And most of all, the area of the city away from the buildings, near the beach, and love the culture, people and everything about Melbourne.

St Kilda beach hotel Lift 1 was extremely slow, Lift 2 broke down ! You weren’t allowed to walk to 4th floor as it was a fire escape and not a staircase!!!! and it meant the guy leaving the front desk to unlock floor 4 🤯 The bed was extremely comfortable All Clean and tidy. St Kilda beach hotel Lift 1 was extremely slow, Lift 2 broke down ! You weren’t allowed to walk to 4th floor as it was a fire escape and not a staircase!!!! and it meant the guy leaving the front desk to unlock floor 4 🤯 The bed was extremely comfortable All Clean and tidy. Definitely not the best area in winter, Front doors locked between 7pm & 7am room key needed to get in. The trams are great and almost outside, No USB point so take a plug charger.

This is an EVT Hotel, which I generally like (one of my favourites, and the gold standard as far as I'm concerned, for reasonably priced hotels is their HotelMotel in Adelaide and is a testament to what a massive difference a thorough renovation can make for an older hotel) and their PGR rewards program, but this one desperately needs some love. The service was friendly from everyone (I liked the two free coffee vouchers at check-in, however I didn't get a chance to use them as I was only there for one night and breakfast came with a drink anyway), the reception area and cafe are nice, but the room I stayed in was very bland and, again, needing some love. It was fairly sparsely furnished, with a bed, two bedside tables, a desk with chair, a wardrobe with a fridge in it, a luggage stand and the TV. No view from this room as the windows were frosted, however the windows do face outside and aren't internally facing. The bed was fine, not as nice as the ones at the previously mentioned HotelMotel but I slept perfectly fine. However, the runner at the foot of the bed was stained and had long black hair on it which was not a good impression. The bathroom was OK, and functioned as expected - the toiletries were nice and didn't dry out my skin (liquid hand soap was provided, thank you!) Parking is accessible via the rear, but it is very tight and subject to availability and is $35 a night which is roughly on par with most Melbourne hotels. Currently they are only servicing the rooms from day three of your stay unless requested and subject to availability - I was only staying one night so this wasn't an issue for me. Hopefully, there are renovations planned for this hotel soon. It's got good bones and could definitely be as good, if not better, than some of the other EVT properties.
