No socket near bed to charge phone and laptop. Hard to get ice - have to ask staff. They should have machines on each floor. Would look elsewhere before staying again.

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times on long stays over the years, and have noticed that standards have dropped. Cleaning is generally superficial and a professional approach as well as deep clean is required. Outside front of building had cigarette buts upon arrival for guests to see, not a good look. We had to remind the cleaners to vacuum our room a couple of times. Maintenance on all doors particularly in the bathroom would be great, very squeaky, needed spraying with silicon spay to stop noise when opening particularly at night. Also grout in the bathroom tiles is turning black from dirt, and hairs left from mopping. Shower water flow was horrible and so slow as well as toilet flushing was not good, had to flush several times. Overall décor was starting to wear out. Main doors to the rooms are horribly noisy when closed by yourself or other patrons, sound proofing would be a big help if renovating in the future. We had a park view room but was a bit hard to see out as the glass was becoming frosty through old age or may just need a good clean. Overall this hotel has huge potential, good for short stays. We had 4-nights at the Radisson hotel. The initial welcome was lacking, as both 'Flag-Staff' receptionists were more interested in watching a 3rd staff member or contractor fix something, rather than attend to our arrival and we waited! Interestingly, over our stay, we learned the hotel has recruited a lot of new staff, so obviously a bit more training still needed! Overall, the hotel is comfortable but dated, with standout staff being Marissa 🤗🤗 at reception (pity she wasn't on when we arrived) and Lucy (restaurant manager)🤗🤗 In terms of main positives: spacious room and comfy bed; Marissa and Lucy🤗🤗; nice buffet breakfast and evening menu (tasty burgers); view we had was over the beautiful Flagstaff gardens (but there are less attractive room options!). The hotel is just on the periphery of the city centre inner circle, but the free tram is only a stroll away. We did a complete tram run initially, before 'hoping' on and off thereafter. It really is such a convenient (if often crowded) mode of transport for tourists and citizens alike🤗 Also, Melbourne is very tourist-friendly and it is relatively easy to walk most parts of the city centre, so be encouraged 😎 The negatives: we had to do a bit of dusting of drawers when we got into our room☹️ The towels were unnecessarily removed after single use, yet bath towels weren't replaced! We had to request new bath towels that night, after our return from a long day trip (and that took 45 minutes; but apology offered)! Additionally, the room was cleaned at a basic level; more attention to detail should be expected and applied accordingly! While good to have a room safe, it is at ground level - far too low for most people. Restaurant: manager, Lucy and staff worked hard, but more staff needed, especially when coffee machine broke down and people subsequently served one slow cup at a time and no point asking for another; as the one staff member did her best but simply had too much to do. And nice poached eggs (by request only), but disappointingly an omelette is an additional charge! General points: Breakfast had the often common issue of not keeping food hot rather than warm. On occasion, the restaurant was too loud, especially at 6.30am! Upon our request (but really this shouldn't be necessary and staff more 'attuned' to setting the right morning ambiance), the lovely manager, Lucy, had the music lowered and conversation was subsequently possible. Our bedroom and bathroom were dated and both require modernising (consider usb ports, new bath / windows). 1$ charged for registering our credit card
