My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights prior to a cruise out of Braibane. We arrived late, and check-in was smooth and quick. The desk assistant who greeted us was friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and modern. We found our room to also be clean, modern, and comfortable with all the ammenities one would need. We quickly realized we would need electrical converters for some of your electronics, which we both forgot to bring. We called the front desk and they quickly found some and delivered them to us. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, making it hard to want to get out of them in the morning. The shower had perfect water pressure, and the provided soap/shampoo smelled great. The room had a very spacious balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Room service did a great job refreshing the room each day while we were away. for the room rate we paid, we felt they could have justified much more! All of the staff we encountered were friendly, including those working in their bar/restaurant. Also, we didn't order any food, we had drinks there on of the nights. Upon check out, the staff were happy to assist us in printing boarding passes. Walking into the downtown area only takes about 15 minutes, and it's all downhill. It's only tiresome upon to the hotel. I would definitely stay at this property again when visiting Brisbane!

“Good for airport trains from Roma Street, as long as you take the short route”

Only had a one night stay here, we chose it because of its proximity to Roma Street Station for direct links to Brisbane Airport. Reception staff were pleasant, room on the 6th floor clean and well presented, large firm bed and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. The room included an iron and ironing board. As my flight was quite early, we didn’t have breakfast. I didn’t have any issues with the hotel, it was close to the station, but at the top of a hill. We exited the station at the Roma Street exit, walked along Roma Street and up Albert Street. The distance was over a kilometre and Albert Street is a large hill! Don’t make this mistake. Exit the station from platform 10, take the elevator or escalator, then the ramp, (not the steps), this will bring you almost to the top of Albert Street. Turn left and the hotel is at the junction with Wickham Terrace, about 500 metres, and not as hilly

“Great customer service”
Excellent customer service. There was an administrative error with my booking and the staff were fair and prompt in resolving the issue. Very appreciative that this was not put into the too hard basket but responded to quickly and professionally.

“Clean and efficient ”
Great access and parking. Rooms were spotless and checkin was efficient and friendly. Two gentlemen who were working the bar were a bit cold and could put a smile on their dial. Room safe was not working- should tell housekeeping to do a check.

“Peeling paint on bathroom ceiling, incredibly noisy aircon”

They should be embarrassed to let the room we were given and we are Accor Plus members. The paint on the bathroom ceiling is peeling off (see photo below). I'm amazed that a Mercure hotel would let a room to anybody, in this condition. The shower door lets water under it so if you aren't careful to keep it tightly shut, the bathroom floor ends up drenched. The room and bed is OK but its a queen size bed, let to a couple, and there are only 3 pillows in the room. The aircon unit is amazingly noisy - we switched it off at night and had the door to the balcony open instead. The restaurant is quite good and the staff are pleasant. The car park is a nightmare to get in and out of.
