“Great Stay”

It is a great location and a clean hotel. The early check-in allowed us to continue with our plans without interruption. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Very close to many cafes and bars.

The team in the restaurant/bar make the place and the reception team. Nothing is too much trouble, friendly, recognise guests, truly a happy place that I looked forward to coming back to each day! Whilst there were maintenance issues (no channel 7, and a constant annoying buzzing noise in. The unit that I reported and wasn’t fixed) I would def be back.

“Ok but....!”

The hotel was not exactly what I had asked to be booked but overall, I was satisfied with the stay. I found the good parts were: 1.Front desk staff mainly, were exceptionally helpful and friendly, 2.The room was quite spacious and comfortable, 3. Most thing in the room worked, 4.The location was generally pretty good although not so much for my principal focus, 5. Cost was very reasonable, and 6. Breakfast was quite ok. The not so good points; 1. The room walls were very thin, and I could clearly hear the conversations in the next room, 2.The lifts, who mentioned similarities to telephone boxes and not clean telephone boxes, 3. Could get out of Hindmarsh Square on Saturday because of Adeliade Christmas Pageant, good if you wanted to watch, bad if you wanted to get out of the hotel by car, and 4.. A stool at the desk? Perhaps a chair would be better. Would I stay at this hotel again? Possibly.

“Ordinary”

The beds were ok, the pillows were ok and the location was good. But it goes downhill from there. The staff are snooty which is kinda funny given that it's a pretty ordinary hotel. The beds were ok, the pillows were ok and the location was good. But it goes downhill from there. The staff are snooty which is kinda funny given that it's a pretty ordinary hotel. The breakfast buffet was so basic. It could be ok if you're travelling with kids. The doors to the suites are alarmingly loud when they click to close - so loud that anyone coming or going from nearby suites will wake you. The lighting throughout the suite is terrible. If you have a special occasion don't stay there as there isn't sufficient lighting in any of the rooms to apply makeup. Our kettle was filled with ginger. Yes, ginger. Multiple slices of ginger and it's hard to say how long it was there for. They only give you one toilet roll. You have to request a new one when the roll you've been allocated gets low. Check out is 10am! I've never heard of a hotel with a 10am check out. The light switch in the bathroom was faulty so it was quite hard to get it at the right angle to turn the light on and off. If it had been cheap I would have been ok with it but actually, it wasn't good value for money.
