“Enjoyable stay in Adelaide”

The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows available to help a great night’s sleep. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful even when arriving at the hotel very late at night. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Thank you.

Very happy with the hotel and it's facilities and the staff were excellent. The only major complaint was that the bathroom was designed by a man, and therefore little consideration was given to a womens needs of shelving for make-up etc and the shower was poorly designed, without an overflow barri… more

Very happy with the hotel and it's facilities and the staff were excellent. The only major complaint was that the bathroom was designed by a man, and therefore little consideration was given to a womens needs of shelving for make-up etc and the shower was poorly designed, without an overflow barrier to stop the shower water flooding the bathroom floor. Minor but anoying. As to the room, very comfortable and pleasant with enough hanging and drawer space space

“Value for money, but not keeping up”

Awesome location and value for money sums it up. The hotel was opened in the early 2000s and hasn’t been touched since. Awesome location and value for money sums it up. The hotel was opened in the early 2000s and hasn’t been touched since. It has failed to keep up with more modern technology of what travellers have come to expect. TVs old and clunky, power points positioned in obscure places around the room, bedside clock looks like it’s been there since it opened. Decor hinging on looking tired and dated, hanging on by a thread. Bed was fine if you prefer firmer beds, the hotel was happy to provide a mattress topper. It really wouldn’t take much to start a few simple upgrades inside the rooms to give it a lift. Staff at reception mediocre on the friendly front. Gym room on level 7 is literally 2 outdated cheap treadmills, a cheap bike, a rack of hand weights and a tv that doesn’t stay on. Car parking is relatively decent around the hotel. Pre pay your parking at the Wilson across the road if you only want to stay overnight and street parking is taken up. The hotel charges $30 for 24 hours with multiple exits but prepay at the Wilson and it’s $19 overnight if needed, one exit only though. Plenty of really great spots to eat and drink around the hotel area, some cute shopping as well. Rundle mall is a short walk away also and lovely parklands nearby.

This was our first stop on our first visit to Australia. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed. Arriving early on Sunday morning (having booked the previous evening so we had immediate access to our room) we took our cases up to the room which was rather dated and looked out onto a Multi-Storey Car Park. On arrival having pre-booked breakfast we were handed vouchers to present to staff in the breakfast room. We went back down to breakfast and found a dosser outside the window next to our table. Breakfast was a real let down, very limited choice and dire with staff who obviously didn't want to be there. On returning to the room, which had a balcony, we found that of the two chairs that were provided, one was broken and the other was covered in bird faeces. We did not use them but instead took room furniture out when we wanted to sit on the balcony. On the plus side the hotel is very close to the main city shopping area, Rundle Street, restaurants and the city trams.
