On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

TripAdvisor... my reviews are not being posted. Some 5-6 have not appeared and I am being asked over and over to Finish My Review which when done and Thank you noted, day later I am again being asked to again Finish my Review. Please correct this problem before I become too frustrated to be bothered with this process of free work for TA. For the 2nd portion of our trip northwest we decided to again not make any reservations for Catamarca preferring instead to check out the accommodations for ourselves. The web suggested there were lots available. Our first stop was booked and as it turned we were glad it was as just a couple of blocks up the street we found the Grand Hotel. There were various prices, some seemed to depend on whether you booked via the web, payed in pesos, US$ or did so my credit card. I asked to see the room (#228) and was happy with what I saw. It was 2nd floor, at end of corridor and thus away from any possible interfering street noise, though this is a relatively quite one way street directly across from the Plaza. Room was spotless, fully equipped, towels, soap, et cetera. The windows were a plus as they opened, view was 'over the roof backyard sort of' but the mountains were visible in the distance. Fully operational AC! Breakfasts was typical but they did offer some fruit AND whopee Brown Bread..now that's a plus. Location is great just a 10 walk down a very gradual slope of a hill to the Plaza. We walked about everywhere to various museums,Cathedrals and Plazas. One flaw was something I should have noticed and corrected early. The WiFi password for Hotel1 does not operate upstairs so select Grand Hotel 1 or 2 or 3 to have connection in your room...Thank you Eduardo! Staff is exceptional , difficult to find better from from Reception Desk to general staff. They give you a smile, very cordial in approach. For this including a reasonable price you will, for us, be hard pressed to do better.
