“Good value hotel in Recoleta”

I booked my room through Booking.com at a really competitive rate. Rooms are on 4 floors with reception and breakfast room on the ground floor. Reception staff were friendly and efficient in a relaxed kind of way. My room was on the fourth floor. First impressions were that the room was small and possibly old-fashioned, and needed a lick of paint. There was a stain on the carpet and the bedspread a little threadbare. The ensuite bathroom was also oldfashioned and had a half-size bath. However, the room, bed and everything else was clean and tidy. There was a safe. The bathroom functioned well in all ways. Although maybe a little small, the room was certainly fine for one (to be fair, I think it was marketed as a single, although having a double bed). The TV worked fine and the WiFi was stable and strong. I used it a couple of times each day and never had a problem. The bed was good and the mattress firm and sleep quality good. Toiletries were functional rather than exotic but they were provided and in generous quantity. After a couple of days I didn't notice the perceived failings at all. Everything worked fine and although linen was changed every other day, the bed was made and the room cleaned every day. Some other reviewers have been less than generous about the breakfast. My Spanish only extended as far as "desayuno completo" so this was what I got each day! That turned out to be a jug of coffee, a jug of hot milk, glass orange juice, two kinds of croissant, two kinds of bread, 1 pat jam, 1 pat butter, 1 pat dulce da leche, 1 pat cheese spread, one tub yoghurt (either natural or strawberry). A second jug of coffee and jug of hot milk were supplied on request. If it worries you to eat this in whole or in part each day, I suggest you pop out to one of the many cafes etc which are nearby. It was fine with me and effectively set me up for the day. If you can't face the world without having breakfast first, you can have breakfast in your room without extra charge. As regards location, the hotel is a half hour steady wak from Buquebus or the Leon bus station (for airport). Within 5 minutes walk are shops (incl two supermarkets), cafes, restaurants, bars including a few craft beer places and the Notorious jazz club. Within 15 minutes are the Recoleta cemetery (art gallery another 5 minutes after that). two metro stations, buses to everywhere, nightlife etc on Callao, most stuff you need. Overall, I was really pleased with the hotel and I would stay here again.

“Decently priced but really outdated ”

The location of the hotel is really perfect in recoleta . Other than that the property is really old. Carpets look really dirty. The location of the hotel is really perfect in recoleta . Other than that the property is really old. Carpets look really dirty. The room air conditioners are so old they don’t even have a remote and to switch on/off you have to call the reception. You can’t even control the air temperature. Can’t expect this in a Buenos Aires recoleta Hotel. There are many mosquitoes in the ground floor room and WiFi signal is very poor in ground floor rooms so go for upper floors. I was in room 501 recently and the lock of the room was so difficult to lock and open, it was horrible. Only good thing about the hotel is the price and location. I won’t return to this hotel.

The location is great, on the first block of Arenales street, in one of the best neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires, a block from Santa Fe Av., quiet, and safe. The location is great, on the first block of Arenales street, in one of the best neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires, a block from Santa Fe Av., quiet, and safe. My room was tiny, very tiny, but was fairly clean, good WIFI, and if you want the AC to work, call the reception, they will switch on the air conditioner on the window, a bit noisy, but you need sometimes a bit of coolness. so it was very cheap, that is an advantage, good location, a fair continental breakfast, and nice coffee with milk, and just about it, if you are in a rush and need something for a very short night is fine, if you need to stay more, take a double room instead of the single...that really was very tiny.
