I am staying in this hotel for almost 3 weeks and the hotel service and cleanliness is very good. The hotel and restaurant staff is very good and supportive. Food quality is also very nice. “Terrible experience”

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels across every continent - and this was one of the worst we have ever stayed in. The hotel was having a total refurbishment. It badly needed it, the decoration in our room was very worn and there was a large hole in the bathroom wall where the skirting board had come away. The corridor stank of paint or turpentine - or worse. The bedroom was very small and dark. There was just one small chair and nowhere to out our cases. The room was painted dark green and had dark brown woodwork. There was a small window that faced a building opposite - so there was no natural light. Room cleaning took place late afternoon - by which time we were back in the hotel after a day out and did not want to vacate the room so it could be cleaned. Worst of all, the push button flush for our toilet was broken and did not work properly throughout our three-night stay. Each morning we reported the problem and we showed them photos to illustrate where the problem was and they promised to fix it - but the problem just got worse and on the last morning it did not work at all Breakfast was average. There was a decent choice of fruit. cheeses, cold meats and cooked eggs - but only sliced 'factory' bread', no rolls. There was a selection of sweet cakes. There was a small bowl of muesli with a teaspoon to serve it. Things kept running out. At one point someone dropped and broke a glass. A waiter kicked a large shard aside and only returned five minutes later to collect it. On our last morning our guide had sent a message to say that because of heavy traffic he would be coming to the hotel to take us to the airport thirty minutes early - the message was not delivered so we were not ready when he arrived. We don't think we were just unlucky - there appear to be some deep-seated management problems.

“Helpful staff”

Enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Big thank to Liliana who helped us with our transfer to the port!!!!! Room was a little small, but comfortable and the hotel had a good location. Overall a good experience. Thanks!

Lovely hotel close to all amenities eg large pacific shopping, etc Room very clean, staff pleasant and really helpful. Breakfast good selction. Lovely hotel close to all amenities eg large pacific shopping, etc Room very clean, staff pleasant and really helpful. Breakfast good selction. But surprised they only have small kettle for hot water. If someone fills up their mate flask then had to wait for kettle to be filled and takes ages to boil. Only improvements more lighting in rooms and magnified mirror in bathroom. Rooms are very dark and not much lighting unless it’s daytime and all curtains ooen. We had room 610 - was quiet but not a nice view - didn’t bother us as only here for 3 nights and out all day. Did city tour and tango nightwith dinner. Both excellent. Recommend japanese garden ( charge for entrance ) and rose gardens.
