“Up the side of the mountain, close to Old City Center, a fantastic boutique hotel!”
Beautiful, quaint hotel with lovely old style Albanian furnishings. Classic! We took “the best” room #3, with king-size very comfortable bed with soft linens. Beautiful, quaint hotel with lovely old style Albanian furnishings. Classic! We took “the best” room #3, with king-size very comfortable bed with soft linens. Spectacular long window seat with full-on view of the mountains was extraordinary to lounge in at any time of day. Had a huge private bathroom down a hall with a soaking tub and shower. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with table service on the balcony, in the courtyard or under the trees. Friendly, helpful service. Short walk to the fabulous Old City Center. Shops and restaurants galore. We highly recommend staying here. The road up from town tested my boldest Eastern European driving skills to the max! It was a great adventure on 2-way streets wide enough for one car!

We spent one night at the Kalemi Hotel. It is an old Ottoman house with a lot of character and charm. The room is very large, very quiet and the view of the city is breathtaking. A very warm welcome, very good breakfast, wifi which works very well...everything was perfect. Only small point, a little difficult to find because the streets of Gjirokastër are quite "complicated" with a car. But, parking is at your disposal. I especially wanted to warmly thank the hotel staff : I had forgotten a gold chain in the room. I contacted them and they graciously sent it back to my home in France. I found it in my mailbox when I returned. A big thank-you.

“Amazing views”
At the top of the hill and the common balconies had a beautiful view! Stunning! The service was fab as well. Breakfast was in their cute courtyard and it was simple but delicious! Even if you are vegetarian, it's not too bad! Amazing location and great views
