El Arenal

Join the party

Located only 14 km away from the center of Palma de Mallorca and less than 10 km away from the Airport, El Arenal is known as one of the biggest party scenes in Mallorca. Its atmosphere is lively and multicultural and it offers a wide variety of apartments and hotels. Many of them offer the "all inclusive" formula and are set alongside the beach and have an excellent value for money. El Arenal is one of the favourite destinations for young Europeans who enthusiastically crowd its bars, pubs and discotheques any time of the day. Walking along the promenade you will find dozens of fashion shops, restaurants, happy hours and a large variety of entertainment and leisure options.

A visit to Aqualand Water Park or a stroll around the coastline on the bike are always good ideas to spend the day. After a relaxing day at the beach, travellers look for everything Mallorca has to offer: terraces with a festive atmosphere, discos to party all night long... El Arenal, located between Llucmajor and Palma de Mallorca, has a lovely marina that has been visited several times by the Spanish Royal Family during the Sailing Championships. During the low season this destination is great alternative to enjoy sports like hiking and cycling along a less crowded coastline.

The magic creek “Ses Fonts Ufanes”

Not far from the chapel of “Sant Miquel”, in the village of Campanet, nearly every year a unique hydrological phenomenon occurs. In Rainy autumns and winters, as if by magic, incredible fountains of water flow out of the ground at the Finca Gabellí, they can reach a volume of 100.00 liters per second. They are the known as “Ses Fonts Ufanes”. This interesting phenomenon, which has been classified as a Natural Monument by the local Baleares Government is as impressive as difficult to see, as this only happens three to seven times a year, when sufficient water has been accumulated in the peak of Puig Tomir and surroundings.  For this reason, every time this wonder occurs, many spectators and excursionists visit the site to take photographs.
