Splendid wonder

Cadiz, for anyone who believes in magic

A paradise for nature lovers and adventure sport enthusiasts, with golden beaches and a host of majestic cities that contrast with the picture-postcard whitewashed villages of the sierra.

White Villages

Visit unique landscapes in the world

Among legends of bandits

To truly discover Andalusia, there's nothing better than covering all or just part of the Route of the White Villages, which takes in some twenty towns in the Sierra de Cádiz and Málaga. You'll be captivated by the sheer amount of archaeological wealth and you'll see why many of them have been declared sites of historical-artistic interest, such as Arcos de la Frontera. Others, such as Ubrique, El Bosque and Prado del Rey, are renowned not just for their stunning landscapes and surroundings, but also for their leather craftsmanship.Head to the local fiestas and get to know age-old traditions that will amaze you, such as the coloured roof tiles lining the horizon. When you arrive at Grazalema Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve, don't forget to visit Grazalema itself, the town with the highest rainfall in the whole of Spain, or Zahara de la Sierra, which commands spectacular panoramic views. And, of course, try out the local cuisine with its clear Al-Andalus heritage reflected in stews and pastries.
