Calais is a costal city to the north of France, located on the narrowest point of the English Canal. The old town of the city is on an artificial island surrounded by canals and ports. Calais is the biggest comercial port in France regarding passengers. The places of interest are the town hall and the statue of the bourgeois of Calais, by Auguste Rodin, the general headquarters of the german during the war and the opalo Coast, aswell as some museums, the beach and the lighthouse.
