Olympia is a city of the ancient Greece in the prefacture of Elis, on the Peloponnese peninsula. The city is found on the foot of Mount Kronos and on the right side of the river Alfeios. It was for hundreds of years the religious and athletic centre for excelence in Greece. The olympic Games, which we celebrate every four years during the last full moon of the summer, were the most important in Hellas.
