Fatu Hiva is the southermost of the Marquesas Islands, in the French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. The main villas are Omoa, the capital, and Hanavave, located on the bays with the same name. The population live mainly of the farming, the handcraft and the tourism, and it is only reachable by boat. Fatu Hiva is an island of astonishing beauty. The village of Hanavave is found in the bay know as Bay of Virgins, named after one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Other places include the narrow path that surrounds the mountains between Omoa and Hanavave, that offers a walking route with panoramic views.
