Juneau (Alaska)

Juneau is Alaska´s capital, however you can´t get there by road, only by air or by sea. Juneau is a main port for the Alaska Marine Highway, Alaska´s ferry system. Skagway (Alaska)

Nuku Hiva (Marquesas Islands)

Nuku Hiva is the largest island in the French Polynesian Marquises archipelago. It is known for it's 550 meters Ahuii waterfall in the Hakaui Valley. Komodo Island (Indonesia)

Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that compose the Republic of Indonesia. The island is particularly notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth and consequently named after the island. The people of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed with Bugis from Sulawesi. The people are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu congregations. Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. In addition, the island is a popular destination for diving. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province.

Bartholomew, San Salvador (Galapagos)

Just off Isla San Salvador´s Sullivan Bay coast, the tiny islet of Isla Bartolome is among the younger of the Galapagos Islands. With a total land area of just 1.2 sq km, this island offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the archipelago. One of the most famous landmarks in the Galapagos can also be found on this island, Pinnacle Rock, which is among the most frequently photographed vistas of this volcanic island chain.
