Brisbane (Australia)

Naha (Japan)

Naha is the largest city in Japan's southernmost prefecture, Okinawa. The approximately 100 km long island of Okinawa is part of a group of islands that separates the East China Sea from the Pacific. Naha's climate is subtropical and monsoonal. The city's landmark is the red Suri Castle with the royal garden Shikinaen with the typical ponds, stone bridges and wooden palaces. Naha is also a lively city with a vibrant shopping street, parks and a lively nightlife. A visit to the Naminouegu Shrine and the Fukushūen Garden is particularly recommended.

Hiroshima, Japan

The wounds of the first atomic bombing in history healed and Hiroshima is today a dynamic city, full of students and industrial commerce. The city counts with a Memorial Museum. Hiroshima has two places named Heritage Sites by the UNESCO: the Sanctuary Itsukushima in the Island of Miyajima abd the Peace Memorial of hiroshima. In the park Memorial you can visit the Peace Bell, the Peace Flame, the Memorial Cenotaph, the Statue of the Children, the Mount Memorial and the gates of Peace.

Seward (Alaska)

Seward is a small port city located at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula in Southcentral Alaska and was named in honor of William H. Seward, President Abraham Lincoln´s Secretary of State, who was responsible for negotiating the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867. Seward is known for its scenic views, numerous visitor attractions, and as the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Exit Glacier is the only part of Kenai Fjords National Park accessible by road. It is a place where you can witness up close how glaciers re-shape a landscape and learn how plant life reclaims the barren rocky land exposed by a glacier´s retreat. . Seward has over 3,000 year round residents, however that number swells considerably during the summer visitor season. The town is famous in Alaska for its Fourth of July celebration that features a grueling foot race to the top of the 3,000 foot Mt. Marathon. You won’t be disappointed with Seward’s fine selection of shops, restaurants and lodging choices.

Juneau (Alaska)

Juneau is Alaska´s capital, however you can´t get there by road, only by air or by sea. Juneau is a main port for the Alaska Marine Highway, Alaska´s ferry system. Downtown Juneau is compact and highly walkable, The most popular activities in Juneau for visitors are flight seeing, charter fishing, visiting the Mendendhall Glacier, hiking and shopping. Look for local shop with a sign on the window that says "This store is owned by an Alaskan family", that sell awesome pins, beads, carving arts, all done by local artists or customizable gifts for travelers who don´t want a boring, touristy-looking T-shirt. Highlights in Juneau include Mount Roberts Tramway, the Red Dog Saloon, the Alaska State Museum, the Gastineau Salmon Hatchery, the Governor´s Mansion, the Alaska Gastineau Mill, and the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.

Ketchican (Alaska)

Ketchikan is a scenic town of approximately 14,000 people. Ketchikan´s economy is based upon tourism and fishing, and the city is known as the "Salmon Capital of the World". A stay in Ketchikan itself can be rewarding, however, as the city is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, an area so beautiful, it is known as "The Yosemite of the North." With steep valleys formed by glaciers and lava flows left by volcanic activity, Misty Fjords offers gorgeous views of natural formations, all reflected in the calm waters of Pacific inlets. Seattle (USA)

Seattle is a major coastal seaport city and the seat of King County, in the U.S. state of Washington. A major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the 8th largest port in the United States and 9th largest in North America in terms of container handling. Seattle has a noteworthy musical history. From 1918 to 1951, there were nearly two dozen jazz nightclubs along Jackson Street from the current Chinatown/International District to the Central District. The jazz scene developed the early careers of Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson and others. Seattle is also the birthplace of rock legend Jimi Hendrix and the rock music style.
