Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and its most populous city with a number of bridges and tunnels connect the parts of the city together, and the cityscape is characterized by promenades, waterfronts, bars with terraces and artists busking on the streets. Since the turn of the millennium, Copenhagen has seen a strong urban and cultural development, partly due to massive investments in cultural facilities and infrastructure.

Gdynia (Poland)

From the port of Gyndia there is an access to Gdansk, millenary maritim city where you will find the strain between Poland and Germany that are a indelible mark. In the old part of the town we find the Gothic Cathedral, considered Europes eldest brick church. Walking doen the streets we find bourgeois antique houses, many historical buildings and antique terraces, converted today in luxury shops, restaurants and art galleries.

Klaipeda (Lithuania)

The third largest city in Lithuania, Klaipeda is situated on the Curonian Lagoon where it meets the Baltic Sea. With its rich and complex history the main attractions are the historic buildings in the city's centre, dating from the 13th to 18th centuries including the remains of Klaipeda Castle, built by the Teutonic Order in the 13th century. For sunseekers, Neringa and Palanga on the Baltic Coast are popular during the summer months offering clear waters and white sand beaches.

Riga (Latvia)

The plain landscape covers all the country and is a mixture of big forrests of coniferous trees, moors and swamps. the capital of latvia, Riga, is on of the biggest metropoli of the Baltic states and conserves a fascinating mix of influences from Ñatvia, Russia and Germany. The old town conserves german buildings dated in the 17th century.

Helsinki

Helsinki, also called Daughter of the Baltic or City of the Sea, is the capital and the largest city of Finland. The harbour is the heartbeat of this southern coastal city built on the peninsulas and islands of the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland. A piece of history can be found visiting the citys green domed Lutheran Cathedral, situated in Senate Square. There are fantastic museums like Suomenlinna and the Helsinki City Museum, where visitors can learn all there is to know about the worlds northernmost urban area. This city highly regarded for its design, a rich tradition that continues at stores like Arabia, which specializes in signature Finnish dishware, glassware, functional sculpture and pottery. Marimekko specializes in simple, bold, colourful clothing, and even offers bedding and house wares. The Kauppatori, or the market square, offers visitors all kind of toothsome treats, from traditional Finish goodies to fresh fruits and vegetables. Helsinkis popular Linnanmaki Amusement Park, where you can scream your heart out on the notoriously rickety wooden roller coaster.

Nynäshamn (Stockholm)

Nynäshamn is the only place in the province of Stockholm where you can see the ocean horizon from the mainland. The beautiful and arid nature that covers the 1.000km of the coastal line have been insipirational for many swedish writers. Places to visit: Nynäshamn church, Local Folklore museum, Railway museum, Brunnberg's Garden, Godsmagasinet (arts and crafts museum).

Visby (Sweden)

Visby is the largest city of the swedish island of Gotland. It is one of the medieval cities better perserved of Scandinavia, and it was declared in 1955 World heritage site by the UNESCO. The name of Visby comes from the ancient nordic language. Vi means place of sacrifices.

Oslo (Norway)

Oslo is the capital of and most populous city in Norway. Oslo occupies an arc of land at the northernmost end of the Oslofjord. The fjord, which is nearly bisected by the Nesodden peninsula opposite Oslo, lies to the south; in all other directions Oslo is surrounded by green hills and mountains. Oslo has a large and varied number of cultural attractions, which include several buildings containing artwork from Edvard Munch and various other international artists but also several Norwegian artists. Several world-famous writers have either lived or been born in Oslo. Examples are Knut Hamsun and Henrik Ibsen. Bygdøy, outside the city centre is the centre for history and the Norwegian Vikings' history. The area contains a large number of parks and seasites and many museums. Examples are the Fram Museum, Vikingskiphuset and the Kon-Tiki Museum. Oslo hosts the annual Oslo Freedom Forum.

Skagen (Denmark)

Skagen is a small touristic city where the main activity is fishing. A picturesque place that outstands for it's low yellow coloured houses with red tiled roofs. A wellknown time of the year in Skagen is the festivity or celebration on the night of Saint John (Sankt Hans Aften) in the beach where bonfires are it and songs are sung around them.

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick is the capital of the principal island of Mainland, and is the most northern village of Britania. The atractions of the village include the old port, the city chamber, flower parks, in the outskirts the Pictish Broch in Clickimin, a prehistoric site that has a fortress of the Bronze Age.

Stornoway (Outer Hebrides)

Originally a Viking settlement, Stornoway is now the main town on the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, situated around a bustling harbour and offering a range of local specialist shops selling local handcrafted goods (jewellery and the famous Harris Tweed). The traditionns are still there and the beautiful Isle of Lewis is considered the heartland of the Gaelic culture. It is also home to some of the most important prehistoric sites in Scotland including the Neolithic Callanish Stones and Pictish Carloway Broch. 

Belfast

Belfast Harbour (also the Port of Belfast) is a major maritime gateway in Northern Ireland, It is increasingly popular with cruise liners. Belfast is the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland and the second largest city on the island of Ireland after Dublin. Situated at the mouth of the River Lagan on Belfast Lough, Belfast is surrounded by low hills. After years of violence, its center has been polished up making it great to walk through the pedestrian streets, shop in its arcades and spend some time in its pubs or dine in its excellent restaurants. Belfast city centre is focused on Donegall Square and Belfast City Hall in its centre. The City Hall is the grand centerpiece of the city and the orientation point for your exploration of Belfast. Running north from the centre of Donegall Square is Donegall Place, a broad and bustling shopping street, which will lead you towards the Cathedral Quarter and the Arts School. Bedford Street, becomes Dublin Road, which, leads south to the University Quarter, area where you´ll find the Botanic Gardens, art galleries and museums. Belfast is home to a wide range of parks and open spaces, making it one of the greenest cities in Ireland. The Golden Mile is the area around Great Victoria Street beyond Bradbury Place and it is considered the city´s best address for restaurants and pubs. The famous I.R.A. and Protestant murals are just to the west of the city center and it´s perfectly safe to go there and take photos.

Liverpool

Liverpool is a city in the county of Merseyside, on the side of the estuary of the river Mersey. The popularity of The Beatles and of Liverpool Football Club have made Liverpool a touristic destination. Cobh (Cork)

Cobh known from 1850 until 1920 as Queenstown, is a popular tourist seaport town on the south coast of County Cork, Ireland. Cobh is on the south side of Great Island in Cork Harbour and almost 100,000 cruise liner passengers and crew arrive in the town each year when their ships berth right in the centre of the town at Ireland's only dedicated Cruise Terminal. Tourist attractions are focused on the immense maritime and emigration legacy of the town. The Queenstown Story Heritage Centre, Titanic Experience, Titanic Trail walking tour, Cobh Museum, Cobh Road Train, Spike Island tours and St Colman's Cathedral provide plenty for visitors to see and do. The town has remained virtually unchanged since RMS Titanic departed from Cork Harbour in 1912, with the streetscape and piers still much the same. Facing the town are Spike Island and Haulbowline Island. On a high point in the town stands the magnificent St Colman's Cathedral, and its carillon of forty-nine bells.

Sydney (Nova Scotia)

Sydney is the main port and largest community on Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia. The Sydney area has a rich coal mining and industrial history, the remnants of which can be found throughout the region. As the largest urban area on Cape Breton and the island’s historical capital, Sydney, Nova Scotia is the perfect mix of metropolitan charm and hospitality.
