Punta del Este (Uruguay)

Punta del Este is a city on the southern tip of Uruguay, located on the peninsula that closes the bay of Maldonado. It counts with excellent beaches, beautiful seaside mansions, tree-lined streets, chic boutiques and stylish people. Punta del Este has two coasts, one of them is quiet and calm, called mansa, and the other one is windy, with some lovely places to surf, called brava. Many famous beaches like La playa de los Dedos,which is near the center in Punta del Este, close to a surf spot, famous due to the sculpture of a giant hand emerging from the sand. In La Barra, the Bikini Beach is famous because of the models and famous people that visit.

Ushuaia (Argentina)

Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province, Argentina. It is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world. As a center of population, commerce, and culture, and as a town of significant size and importance. Ushuaia however clearly qualifies as a city. Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range and on the south by the Beagle Channel.

Punta Arenas (Chile)

Punta Arenas is a commune and the capital city of Chile's southernmost region, located on the north shore of the Strait of Magallanes. Punta Arenas has been one of only two free ports in Chile. Punta Arenas grew in size and importance due to the increasing maritime traffic and trade destined to the west coast of both South and North America. The geopolitical importance of Punta Arenas has remained high in the 20th and 21st centuries because of its logistic importance in accessing the Antarctic Peninsula. It is among the largest cities in the entire Patagonian Region.

San Rafael Lagoon (Chile)

San Rafael Lagoon was formed by the retreat of the San Rafael Glacier in the Northern Patagonian Ice Field. Today it is a popular tourism destination, and ships sail from Puerto Chacabuco, Puyuhuapi and Puerto Montt to the lagoon nearly every day to see the ice falling from the glacier into the lagoon. Cruises pass by this area.

Puerto Chacabuco, Chile

Punto Chacabuco is the focal point of the Austral Road, important and only track that joins through the continent Puerto montt with the south. Near we can find San Rafael Lagoon, which is part of the National Park that has its name, Biosphere World Heritage, and where we can find the Glaciar San Valentin. Surely the image will amaze you, specially when you see the ice detachments.

Puerto Montt (Chile)

It is the capital od the region of Lagos, at the northern end of the Reloncaví Sound in the Llanquihue Province. Puerto Montt was founded in 1853 by Vicente Perez Rosales. One year before the german immigrants had arrived to the city with Valdivia and Osorno. From the bay of Puerto Montt you can view the Corcovado and the volcanoes of Michinmahuida. The bussiness section and the central services of the city are all around the the Plaza Manuel Irrazabal with a lovely view to the sea, and the cathedral located north of the plaza.

San Antonio (Santiago de Chile)

Santiago is the capital of Chile and the biggest city, extension wise and population wise. It was founded in 1514 and it has been the capital since colonial times. It has a priviliged situation as you can either go to the snowey mountains travelling 31 miles, or have a bath visiting the sandy beaches in 62 miles. You can visit the winter sport resorts, or visit the beaches in Vina del Mars or valparaiso, the principal port in Chile. Wherever you are in the city you will be able to admire the Andes mountain chain. You will also find little villages surrounding Santiago. You can visit them and see the peace and tranquility of the country life. the tourists can also visit the vineyards and taste the delicious wines.
