Longyearbyen is a small town located in the island of Spitsbergen, Svalbard archipelago, Norway. This archipelago was formed millions of years ago and it´s environment is unique. Mostly covered by glaciers and colorful flora. There is also plenty of animal life around: walrus, seals, polar bears and whales can be found on the coast.
You can find plenty of cultural activities in Longyearbyen, specially during weekend when the town is visited by musicians and artists and you can find many exhibitions, concerts and other special events.
