RotterdamRotterdam is located about a half-hour away from The Hague and an hour from Amsterdam, and has the largest port in Europe, with the rivers Meuse and Rhine providing excellent access to Basel, Switzerland and into France. This city is known for its Erasmus University and the cutting-edge architecture as the large congress and concert building called De Doelen, many well known museums. Rotterdam has its own orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra with its world famous musical director Valery Gergiev, plus many theatres that includes the new Luxor theatre and movie theatres. Rotterdam has also a lively cultural life (the Ahoy complex located in the south of the city hosts pop concerts and all sorts of music, poetry and cinema festivals, exhibitions, tennis tournaments and other activities). Northwest of Rotterdam you will find the major zoo called Diegaarde Blijdorp complete with a walkthrough sea aquarium called Oceanjum.

Vigo (Spain)Vigo is a city and municipality situated in north-west Spain, in the Spanish autonomous community of Galicia, and on the ria, or bay, of the same name, on the Atlantic Ocean.It is located in the south-west of Galicia, in the southern part of the Vigo Bay. Vigo is not only one of the major industrial and economic cities in Galicia, but it is also one of the more important Roman centers of Pontevedra. Although within the city one will not find much Romanesque architecture, it can be seen a few miles away from the city center. In many of the municipality's neighborhoods and parishes a large number of Roman ruins remain. Such is the importance of the Roman remains in Vigo that many Spanish authors have come to coin the term Romanesque Vigo. Funchal (Madeira)The city´s name comes from the abundance of fennel (funcho) found on the island. It was an important shipping center during the 15th-17th centuries. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal. It is a modern, cosmopolitan, rejuvenated city, well known for its many top class restaurants, stunning new 4 & 5 star hotels and warm climate all year round. The city itself is nestled in a great natural amphitheatre, facing the blue Atlantic with a backdrop of dramatic mountains. It is located in the stunning south of Madeira, on it’s sunniest coast amidst banana plantations and wonderful gardens. Funchal has also for many years been one of the Atlantic Cruise-ship’s main ports of call, with the Liner harbour right in the middle of the town. Once ashore, the cafés, restaurants and history that mark this famed capital are just a stroll away. Tourists in Funchal can also enjoy activities such as diving in the crystal-clear waters, surfing the waves, taking day excursions along the coast and through the eucalyptus smelling mountain woods.

Arrecife (Lanzarote)Arrecife open the doors of Lanzarote, an island full of underwater views and spots, transparent waters, and palm trees. the natural park of Timanfaya is the most representative of the island, and you will see how the volcanic lava swept all the land. A good example of this is Los Jameos del Agua, spectacular volcanic cave in which interior lies a natural lake of transparent waters inhibiten by blind albino crabs, from unknown origin. You can also visit the beaches of Famara or Papagayo.

Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura)Puerto del Rosario is a town located in the northern part of the island of Fuerteventura and also its capital since 1835, in the province of Las Palmas (Canary Islands). Puerto del Rosario has a harbor front promenade, which has had recent enhancements. You will also find beautiful beaches, especially to the south of the capital. You will also be able to visit the museum which was once the home of the exiled poet Miguel de Unamuno, where you will find plenty of exhibitions, plays and concerts. Around the town you will find statues that form part of an open air exhibition and are produced during competitions that take place in the capital.

Some of it's most important monuments are: Mercado do Bolhao, teh Cathedral, the Clerigos Church and Tower, the Crystal Palace, the town hall and the bridges over the Duero river. it is also known for the grandeur, innovation and beauty of it's bridges, dated in diferent seasons and of different architectural styles.

Ambassador Cruise Line warmly welcomes guests with disabilities, including those with mobility restrictions as well as restricted sight and hearing. However, with the very different nature of a cruising holiday when compared to one on land, and purely for safety reasons, such guests should be accompanied by an able-bodied, or a fully sighted/hearing companion (as appropriate), who will be responsible for providing any assistance that you may require both onboard and ashore. In addition to this, Ambasador Cruise Line welcomes guests who wish to bring a lightweight wheelchair/scooter with them for shore use only however, these must be stored in your cabin at all times and cannot be used on board the vessel in any circumstance.
