Ilulissat is the third largest settlement in Greenland and covers an area of ​​47,000 km with a population of 4,594 inhabitants in 2011. Illulisat is also widely known by its Danish name of Jakobshavn ("Port of Jacob"). Ilulissat is the Greenlandic word for "Icebergs".
