Kirkwall (Orkney islands)

Kirkwall is the largest town and capital of the Orkney Islands archipelago, 10 miles off the north coast of Scotland. Founded around 1035, the City and Royal Burgh of Kirkwall is the capital and administrative centre of Orkney. The name comes from the Old Norse, which means church-bay and refers to a church older than the present day Cathedral. Some of the places you can visit are the Bishop's Palace & Earl's Palace, Highland Park Distillery, the Orkney Museum and St. Magnus Cathedral.

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick is the capital of the principal island of Mainland, and is the most northern village of Britania. The atractions of the village include the old port, the city chamber, flower parks, in the outskirts the Pictish Broch in Clickimin, a prehistoric site that has a fortress of the Bronze Age.

Skjolden is a small town in Luster, surrounded by mountains, great extensions of water and valleys. The port is one of the most important. Near Skjolden we can find the National Jostendalsbreen Park, from where you can watch the biggest glaciar in Europe.

Molde (Norway)

Found between Trondheim and Bergen, Molde is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities on the Norwegian coast. The fjord, islands and the famous Molde panorama with its 222 snow capped peaks make up the stunning scenery and landscapes that serve as the perfect backdrop to the city. Some of its better known attractions include the Trollstigen Mountain Road, the Atlantic Road and the Molde Jazz Festival. For those with a taste for adventure, Molde plays host to a wide variety of activities, climbing, diving, fishing, cycling and kayaking to name but a few.

Torshavn (Faroe Islands)

Torshavn is a big commercial city on the east side of the isle of Streme. Outstands for its nature and richness in historical monuments. You can walk down the groves, parks and streets, where you can see small houses of multiple shapes and colours, constructed during the 19th century. The nicest is Gongin Street, where we can find constructions of the 16th and 17th century. A place to visit is the monastery of Munkastovan, a building that seems very heavy, built in the 15th century. Near we can find another known building and very old, the stock Royal Leigubun stockhouse. The city has many museums and exhibition halls. In the historical museum, the outdoor museum called Kurdalsvegur. The theatre and music lovers will be able to see the nordic House Cultural Centre, where clasical music concerts are given, theatrical performances and artistic exhibitions.

Reykjavik (Iceland)
