You can find plenty of cultural activities in Longyearbyen, specially during weekend when the town is visited by musicians and artists and you can find many exhibitions, concerts and other special events. Some of the places you can visit in this town are: the Svalbard Gallery, the Svalbard Museum and the Spitsbergen Airship Museum. You can also practice some sports such as hiking, dog-sledding, kayaking and snowmobile safaris.
