Heraklion (Crete)

Heraklion, or Heraclion is the largest city and capital of the island of Crete, Greece. It is one of the largest cities in Greece. The ruins of Knossos, which were excavated and restored by Arthur Evans, are nearby. Combining beautiful, contemporary decor with a more traditional cruise style, Vasco da Gama is small to mid-size, and is a wonderful new addition to the CMV fleet. The 55,820 grt ship has nine passenger decks serviced by eight lifts, is stabilized and air-conditioned throughout and underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment in 2015. Comfortable cabin accommodation ranges from standard to de-luxe with 80% enjoying an ocean view. There are no less than 120 balcony cabins and 29 more spacious suites which also benefit from having private balconies.
