Split (Croatia)

Split is a popular destination located in the Mediterranean Basin on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, on the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian and its bay and port. Split is the largest Dalmatian city, and the second largest city of Croatia. Spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings, Split's greater area includes the neighboring seaside towns as well. The historic center of Split was included into the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites (1979). Split is said to be one of the centre of Croatian culture. This city of history, culture, and tradition it is also a city of fun parties and great night life. It is also known for the summer season festivals, dramas, operas, and concerts. There is also a variety of restaurants and wine cellars, where you can taste the local specials.

Zadar (Croatia)

Is a city in the Dalmatian Region, in the modern Croatia, capital of the county of Zadar, in the centre of the country and infront of the islands od Uglian and Pasman, from which it is separated by the Zadar Strait. Korcula (Croatia)

The island of Korcula is situated in the Adriatic Sea, just off the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Its coast is made up of more than 200 bays, golden beaches and small secluded coves. Said to the the Birth-place of Marco Polo, the island has rich history that can still be seen with its almost gothic, renaissance inspired medievil architechture. The town of Korcula is the cultural and commercial centre of the island offering visitors a range of resteraunts, bars and cafés as well as playing host to the Korkyra Baroque Music Festival.

Kotor (Montenegro)

Kotor is a coastal town in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor in Montenegro. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor , one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called the southernmost fjord in Europe, but it is a ria, a submerged river canyon. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovcen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape. In recent years, Kotor has seen a steady increase in tourists, many of them coming by cruise ship. Visitors are attracted both by the natural beauty of the Gulf of Kotor and by the old town of Kotor. Kotor is part of the World Heritage Site dubbed the Natural and Culture Historical Region of Kotor. Kotor has one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Narrow streets, contiguous houses, bulwarks, churches, cathedrals, squares, carnivals and feasts. It is home to numerous sights, such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the old town (built in 1166), and the ancient walls which stretch for 3 miles directly above the city. Sveti Ðorde and Gospa od Skrpijela islets off the coast of Perast are also among the more popular destinations in the vicinity of Kotor.

Saranda (Albania)

Capital of the district of Sarande, Saranda in Albania is one of the most important attractions in the Albanian Riviera. It is opposite the Greek Island of Corfu and very near the ruins of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sarande was founded in the 6th Century B.C and with a perfect location and warm weather, it's one of the preferred cities for Honeymooners to spend their holidays. You can learn about the region's past or visit the Blue Eye Spring and enjoy the beauties of this natural park. This charming historic town is a hidden gem on the Albanian Riviera, hosting a wealth of UNESCO protected archaeological treasures amongst other attractions. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the region, with a slightly cosmopolitan and lively vibe to it with plenty of ocean-side bars and restaurants which offer great local produce an freshly caught seafood.

Galipoli, Italy

Gallipoli meaning "Beautiful City" is a town and comune of 21,200 inhabitants in the province of Lecce, in Apulia, southern Italy. It is located by the Ionian Sea, on the west coast of the Salentina Peninsula. The town of Gallipoli is divided in two parts, the modern and the old city. The new town includes all the newest buildings including a skyscraper. The old town, instead, is located on a limestone island, linked to the mainland by a bridge built in the 16th century. Places of Interest: Angevine Aragonese Castle, built in the 13th century by the Byzantines. It was largely remade under the Angevines and the Aragonese, who added a polygonal wall fortified with round towers. The main additions were carried on by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, who worked for King Alfonso II of Naples. In 1522 it was added the eastern wall, known as Rivellino, defended by waters on three sides. 14th century walls Originally it had 12 towers or bastions. Baroque cathedral of Sant´Agata. It has a richly decorated façade in carparo, a local limestone rock, with niches featuring statues of saints. The interior is on the Latin cross plan, with Baroque altars, including a polychrome one by Cosimo Fanzago (high altar). Church of St. Francis of Paola, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Church of San Domenico al Rosario Church of the Holy Crucifix, Church of Santa Maria della Purità, Greek Fountain, Palazzo Pirelli (16th century), with mythological-theme decorations in the interior, Church of San Pietro dei Samari, outside the city. Syros (Greece)

Syros, Siros or Syra is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. It is the most important and is surrounded by manny little islands and compose the Cyclades. Spetses (Greece)

Spetses Island is a small fishing island off the coast of the Peloponnese. Dapia, the capital of the island, has an impressive square next to the port. Paved with black and white pebbles leading to the sea, it gives its name to the entire port area. Not to be missed are visits to the Agios Nicolaos Cathedral and the Agii Pantes and Panagia churches. The city museum is located in the Mexis mansion. The Páleo Limani port is fascinating. Petralis to the right of the port, offers us well-cooked fresh fish.

Amorgos (Greece)

Amorgos is the easternmost island of the Greek Cyclades island group, and the nearest island to the neighboring Dodecanese island group. Along with several neighboring islets, the largest of which is Nikouria Island, it comprises the municipality of AmorgosDue to Amorgos´ position opposite the ancient beaches of Ionian towns, such as Militos, Alikarnassos and Ephesos, it became one of the first places from which the Ionians passed through to the Cyclades Islands and onto the Greek mainland. Do not miss the size and artistic works of the walls surrounding the city of Arkesini, the ancient towers whose remains are scattered all over the island, the ancient tombs, the stone tools, the inscriptions, the vases and other antiquities are all powerful proof of the size of Amorgos´ ancient civilization. And also visit Aegiali that is famous for its beautiful landscape and golden beaches, as well as several ancient monuments and its little churches.
