La Romana, on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, is described by Lonely Planet as a bustling city hugging the Rio Chavon. The surrounding region offers all the classic attractions of a Caribbean destination, sandy beaches, upscale beachfront resorts and ample opportunities for water sports and excursions. The city is surrounded by sugar cane fields and is close to some of the islands most scenic spots. Santa Lucia (Castries)

Volcanic island, located at the south east of the Caribbean. Surrounded by hills, its large, safe harbor at the head of a wide bay is a constant hive of activity. Castries is a major port of call for cruise ships, that dock at Pointe Seraphine. The islands population is around 140.000, the mayority are catholic africans. The oficial language is english although they also speak a french dialect (french patois). the capital and principal port is Castries. Its economy is based on agriculture, some industry and a growing tourism, and has good internal communications networks and airports. The island was discovered by the Spanish in 1500 and in 1660 a permanent French colonywas established, its control was contested between French and English until 1814 passed into British hands. The island gained independence within the Commonwealth in 1979.

Bridgetown (Barbados)

Bridgetown is the capital and largest city of the nation of Barbados. The Bridgetown port, found along Carlisle Bay lies on the southwestern coast of the island. Bridgetown is a major West Indies tourist destination, and the city acts as an important financial, informatics, convention centre, and cruise ship port of call in the Caribbean region. Bridgetown´s centre was originally composed of a swamp, which was quickly drained and filled-in to make way for the city´s early development. At the heart of Bridgetown is the Careenage and Constitution River.This body of water provides the city with direct access from medium sized yachts or small craft boats. Although moderately shallow, the Careenage slices Bridgetown into two parts. During the rainy season the Constitution River flows into the Careenage area and acts as an outflow for water from the islands interior storm drainage network. Flowing into the Carlisle Bay on the southwest coast of the island, the Careenage can be observed as a marina for boaters entering or exiting the inner basin located directly in front of the Parliament buildings of Barbados. In the centre lies the main street of Bridgetown which is Broad Street which runs directly through the centre of the city. Broad Street passes the Parliament Buildings and serves as the centre of city´s shopping area.

Guadeloupe (Pointe-à-Pitre)

Guadeloupe mixes the best of France, a fully modern infrastructure and fantastic food, with a local culture. It’s two main islands look like the wings of a butterfly and are joined together by a mangrove swamp. Grande-Terre, the eastern wing of the island, has a string of beach towns that offer visitors a variety of fun in the sun. From beach bars to long stretches of beautiful sand and azure water. Catalina Island (Dominican Republic)

Catalina Island or Isla Catalina is a tropical island located 1.5 miles from the mainland on the south-east corner of the Dominican Republic, near La Altagracia and La Romana. It is an occasional destination for cruise ships on Caribbean routes. Ships anchor offshore and transport passengers to shore via tender. The island itself is only 9.6 square kilometers in size, and is a diverse preservation of eco-systems including sand dunes, mangroves, and reefs. Formed out of coral stone, the island contains three overlapping plateaus. The highest elevation on the island is only 60 feet above sea level. The seas around the Island are rich in wildlife, with many species of birds and tropical marine fish, and there are large areas where natural sandbars offshore bring the depth to just a few feet.

Samana (Dom. Rep.)

The peninsula of Samana is located in the northwest of the country in the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by beaches of white sand, and is on of the best places to observe humpback whales in the sea. We can find one of the main natural parks in the country: Haitieses Natural Park. The capital is called Santa Barbara de Samara, although they call it only Samana. It was discovered by Cristopher Columbus in his first journey and he departed from here to take the news of the Discovery to the Catholic Kings. We outstand the promenade where we can find dome hotels like the Tropical Lodge. From the promenade depart most of the boats and excursions to see the humpback whales. most of the boats stop in the island of Cayo Levantado, the most famous in the bay. The area with most afluence of tourists in the past years has been Las Galeras, located on the northeast on the peninsula of Samana. It is an authentic paradise and a place to rest. The most known beaches are Playa Colorado and Playa Madame.

Grand Turk

A world of entertainment activities: games, competitions, treasure hunts, tournaments, parties, karaoke, theme evenings; Children entertainment: Squok and Teen Clubs divided by age group: Mini Club (ages 3-6 years), Maxi Club (ages 7-11), Teen Club Junior (ages 12-14), Teen Club (ages 15-17); Music shows, cabaret and talent shows in the theatre, dance and parties every night plus Disco.

All Costa cruises include all meals as standard; Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in either the buffet or main dining room which are included in the cruise fare.

Costa Cruises will add a service charge per person, per day to the onboard account as a gratuity for cabin and dining services; the service charge is calculated daily according to the length of the cruise, the destination and the ship; Rates vary from €11 or  $13,50 for most sailings to €14,50 or $17,50 for selected sailings (these rates may vary and are compulsory); Children between the ages of 4 and 14 will be charged 50%.
