In Ocean Village, the main flea market of the town, you can uy everything under the sun, right in the center of Ocho Rios. One of the most beautiful things to see in Jamaica is Dunn’s River Falls, and you will find them in Ocho Rios. Also you can find wonderful beaches to enjoy yourselves. One of the most known beaches is the James Bond Beach, which was named due to his creator living in the proximities. Samana (Dom. Rep.)

The peninsula of Samana is located in the northwest of the country in the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by beaches of white sand, and is on of the best places to observe humpback whales in the sea. We can find one of the main natural parks in the country: Haitieses Natural Park. The capital is called Santa Barbara de Samara, although they call it only Samana. It was discovered by Cristopher Columbus in his first journey and he departed from here to take the news of the Discovery to the Catholic Kings. We outstand the promenade where we can find dome hotels like the Tropical Lodge. From the promenade depart most of the boats and excursions to see the humpback whales. most of the boats stop in the island of Cayo Levantado, the most famous in the bay. The area with most afluence of tourists in the past years has been Las Galeras, located on the northeast on the peninsula of Samana. It is an authentic paradise and a place to rest. The most known beaches are Playa Colorado and Playa Madame.

Catalina Island (Dominican Republic)

Catalina Island or Isla Catalina is a tropical island located 1.5 miles from the mainland on the south-east corner of the Dominican Republic, near La Altagracia and La Romana. It is an occasional destination for cruise ships on Caribbean routes. Ships anchor offshore and transport passengers to shore via tender. The island itself is only 9.6 square kilometers in size, and is a diverse preservation of eco-systems including sand dunes, mangroves, and reefs. Formed out of coral stone, the island contains three overlapping plateaus. The highest elevation on the island is only 60 feet above sea level. The seas around the Island are rich in wildlife, with many species of birds and tropical marine fish, and there are large areas where natural sandbars offshore bring the depth to just a few feet.
