Ashmore Reef (Australia)

The Territory of Ashmore and Cartier Islands is an uninhabited external territory of Australia consisting of four low-lying tropical islands in two separate reefs. In 1983 it was established as a national nature reserve. Here you can see several species including sea snakes, loggerhead, hawksbill and green turtles, as well as other types of common seabirds.

Wyndham is on the eastern side of Cambridge Gulf, an inlet of Joseph Bonaparte Gulf in the Timor Sea. It is the oldest and northernmost town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, located approx. 2,003 mi northeast of Perth.
