Size of ship gives very comfortable feeling, with many acqaintances made. Crew is outstanding - friendly & attentive.Restaurant cuisine is excellent. Buffet is identical as far as fare is concerned, but without atmosphere of restaurant. We had a thoroughly enjoyable fortnight - and we saw the Northern Lights on 3 days - which made it all worthwhile. As our third cruise with CMV we were not disappointed. Booked with company for 2020, but returning to our favourite Marco Polo.

Astoria is now beginning to feel her age. Engines are noisy. Due for refurb in many areas during this winter, but not in this way.It would have been more satisfying to have had more time to explore in the majority of destinations. As in the whole of Norway, everything is substantially more expensive than equivalants in UK, & this is reflected in the prices of excursions from the boat. However there would be no savings to be made by using local tours at ports.
