We booked through Agni Travel to stay in Villa Hera in May and by our estimation tis was by far the best of the villas available. The villa is very spacious and the garden and pool area was just fantastic. There is plenty of room to move your sunloungers and reclinig chairs in any direction for those of you that worship the sun. The pool was a little on the cold side but I guess that will warm up in the sun as the season progresses. The beds are a little on the hard side so do be warned. We enjoyed our little visitors in the garden being the rabbit and tortoise that we saw on a few occasions. The facilities in the villa were very good and I am sad to say that we did even use the washing machine. The large fridge freezer came in very handy for the wine, beer and icecream. The villas are set on a very steep hill as described but do not let that stop you from venturing down to the restaurant to enjoy the breakfast that is included in the price. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are always on hand to help with any questions you may have. Turunc village itself is just a few minutes ride away on the dolmus which stops right outside the villas. If you want a relaxing holiday with plenty of space and privacy then this is the place for you but be sure you book the correct villa as not all are as spacious around the pool. We will be back again next year and hopefully will have the grandchildren with us. Book here and you will not be disappointed

I was surprised to read the other review as I have just returned from a stay here and could not believe what great value these villas are compared to our normal holiday in Spain. The reception staff were very friendly and Cem who represents Agni Travel gave us all the information we needed about the area and further afield. We never saw one wasp or bee even when enjoying the Turkish breakfast which was included or enjoying the pool which got warmer by the day as we were so early in the season. We have travelled with Agni Travel twice now and they always offer us good value villas in excellent locations - we have just booked to come back here again in October. P.S - try the water taxi from Turunc to the beautiful bays around the peninsular - you won't regret it.

Booked Villa Apollon with Agni travel for a week in early September. So why is it called a Boutique Villa Hotel? Our villa was at the very back of the small development up a very steep drive. Our little hire car couldn't make it up the hill without backing all the way down and attacking on full throttle. We did indeed have a 3 bedroom villa but each bedroom had a number as though it might have been let out separately as a hotel room. But where would the lounge and kitchen have fitted into that sort of arrangement? The rooms were very spacious, as were the shower rooms with huge cubicles and copious supplies of hot water at satisfactorily invigorating pressure. The fittings were of good quality but quite often badly fitted. The beds were also a good standard, on the firm side but that was Ok with us. Decent curtains and blackouts. The pool area was pleasant and spacious and the pool was clean. However the pool furniture was rather shabby and in need of replacing or at least a good clean. The same could be said for the pool surround which would have benefitted from a power wash. We had a few niggles in the villa, including a nasty smell under the kitchen sink. But these were dealt with by the management who were exceedingly helpful and friendly. But two issues that prospective renters should be aware of are the facts that the sun disappears behind the villa at approx 4.30pm and there are wasps around the pool during the daytime. As for Agni Travel, I have to report disappointment. They sent a text message on our first day, hoping that all was well. I replied that we had a few issues. No response. In the middle of the week, we received another text message hoping that all was well. I replied by asking whether they had received my reply to their previous message. Again, no response. And their description of the kitchen as "brand new" is very far from the truth. If you wanted to self cater a few meals for 6 people you would find it very difficult. We struggled. Just 2 of us. Very few pans, cutlery etc. No instructions as to the correct use of the dishwasher and washing machine. It was all a matter of hitting a few buttons and hoping for the best.

Although our fourth holiday in Turkey it was our first in Turunc and we arrived late and in the dark. On waking we could not make out what the constant hum was until we opened the doors to the balcony and then saw literally hundreds of bees swarming about the tree in the garden, around a leaking water pipe and all around the edge of the pool obviously seeking the moisture. It did not take long before we were both stung. You could not sit and read or do anything without being pestered by the bees and then by mid day large wasps or hornets had jointed them. It really was a total nightmare. We ignored them and did not flap our hands or arms but were stung in excess of 12 times. We were asked by another British couple staying if we had known about the bees and we told them 'no'. We had, in the family, a cousin who was seriously allergic to bee and wasp stings and subsequently had to carry medication with her at all times which had to be administered before she went into a coma. Never having been stung, my husband had no idea if he could be allergic like his cousin and it was of great concern to us. The owner did not speak very much English and it was difficult to make him understand when we asked about the bees and he kept on pointing to the honey that was served at breakfast. We drove the car into the pine forests and could see literally thousands upon thousands of bee hives and were told by someone that it was the major area for honey. When our daughter arrived and she saw the situation she insisted that she contact Agni Travel about this. They only had two villas available for us to take up so we chose Kalkan and transferred our things in the two cars. The substitute villa was very poor compared to the standard of the villa we had paid for plus we could only have this villa for 6 nights. We were obliged to source additional accommodation for our final night at our own cost, together with the fuel costs of the transfer. Nowhere in the information about the Amos Boutique Villas did Agni Travel mention about the bees. They have subsequently advised that some local hives have been moved but I would suggest that anyone about to travel to that area finds out if they are allergic to any type of sting as I really cannot think that moving a few hives when the whole mountain contains thousands would make any difference and please don't expect a relaxing holiday as you will be pestered by the bees and wasps all the time. There was a family with a baby and they never went outside their villa until the sun went down and the bees and wasps went home. It goes without saying that we will never book to go there again and will NEVER use AGNI TRAVEL to book any holiday. They are very lapse in their information and simply cannot be trusted to give correct details and advice especially when a person's health and safety are concerned.
