After reading the reviews on Trustpilot regarding Kentia Apart Hotel we were going to change the hotel. However, due to timing this was not an option, and we kept our booking with Kentia Apart Hotel. I am very happy we did! Our experience, as a family of 6, with an age range from 19 to 73, with 3 separate rooms; the hotel, staff, food and rooms were lovely, we had a fantastic time. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight, we were met by a lady in reception who at first was reserved, however after a little while chatting to her and getting things sorted for our rooms, she was pleasant and very friendly. We were shown to our rooms and after checking each room for a walk-in shower for my mother (aged 73 with mobility issues), which we didn’t have with the rooms we were allocated. We went back to reception and after a short waiting time we were given another room which was perfect for my mum. It was located on the top floor, however there is a lift and was easy to get to the room. As it was late we went straight to bed and in the morning, we went down for breakfast. There was no full English breakfast on offer OMG!!! Oh wait, hold on, we are in Türkiye not the UK and although you will not find a single piece of bacon at the hotels, there is plenty other options available, even for the picky eaters. Eggs (fried or boiled), toast, cereal, chips, potato wedges, cold meats, cheese, toasted sandwiches and many other treats. Omelettes freshly made in front of you, with your choice of fillings. In the 7 days we were at the hotel we only had lunch at the hotel twice as many of the other days we were out and about doing activities or sightseeing. My mother who chose to stay at the hotel had lunch each day and had nothing but good things to say about the food. She even mentioned there were a few things she tried (didn’t know what it was) but enjoyed every meal she had. We stayed at the hotel on the Sunday and yes, there are staff that come round and ask is you would be interested in something from the Spa, a tattoo or your hair done, but if you politely decline and let them know you are not really interested, they will leave you be. Dinner was different each night, plenty to choose from; chicken, beef, lamb, salads, chips, rice, pasta cooked in front of you with your choice of fillings and sauce. There was one evening which focused on fish options, we don’t tend to each fish, however there were other options available, and we most certainly did not go hungry. The rooms were clean, hotel was lovely, the gardens are beautiful, and the staff are helpful and friendly. In our interactions with the staff, using simple words like please, thank you and saying hello goes a long way. Treat the staff with respect and you will receive helpfulness beyond measure. Advisory Notes: Take your own swimming towels, these are not provided by the hotel. You will pay for Wi-Fi approximately Euro 15 per device for a week. (We did make use of this offer, however, we did purchase one e-sim prior to leaving the UK which was easy to use and had access everywhere we went.) Toiletries are provided, but only a bottle for the week. I would suggest taking your own soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc to make your life easier, There is a Euro 10 deposit each, for the air conditioner remote and safe key. Which you will get back when you check out if you hand back the remote and key to reception. The pancake/crepe lady will only cook one pancake/crepe per person, they are very good and as long as each person collects their own, no issue. Get out there and see the area of Side, there is so much interest and fun out there to experience. Suggestion to Kentia Apart Hotel: the food presentation was good, however the name tags for some items were not clear or not there and on one or two occasions mislabelled for the food that was actually offered. Small issue but would make a big difference. I would recommend this hotel to any of my family, or friends and I would be happy to visit again in the future.
