“Great place”

“Expectations met handsomely!”

A great size - not to big at all, right on the sea bank. Great service, more than you can ask for, everybody was very nice. The food was also delicious and varied. The location is also good as 2 kilometers away there ia a big bazaar - Alara, wich many can find a useful tip.

We went last year together with some friends. We chose the hotel by chance, only based on the reports of those who have spent vacations here before. I called the tourism agency and went on the road. I can say that the vacation was successful. The time spent here was delightful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The meals were satisfying and varied (well....you can say they are repetitive if you put the whole menu on your plate and throw away almost all the food because you can't eat it). The idea is that I didn't get to taste all the food in 7 days, but I enjoyed the fruits and cakes present throughout the day. The staff was exemplary, present and sociable. The beach is with stones, but we concluded that it is much better than sand because you don't fill your body with sand and the water, the water was extraordinary clear. In conclusion, the hotel is good, the staff is good, the time spent here was good and I am writing this review after I booked with another friends and their 4 years child a new vacation here during the same period and with the same joy. “Ok but not the 5 star quality we expected.”

My fiance and I stayed here on an all inclusive 2 week holiday and we were disappointed. This is not a 5 star hotel by UK standards, it is more like a 3 star hotel. So to break it down, Staff; mostly very nice and helpful, management seem to have no issue in shouting at lower level staff in front of guests, we saw this several times. Room cleaning staff were lovely, spoke very little English but knew please and thank you, they kept room clean everyday with clean sheets and towels, they do an excellent job. Dining area staff are helpful, too eager at times to clear the plates away but very pleasant, they speak very little English. Reception staff helpful enough but we didn't have many reasons to need them, bar staff helpful and nice, spoke enough English to understand your order but nothing more. Entertainment; it was ok, a show almost every night which was quite good, if you are travelling with children, the kids club is good with a kids disco every night, 2 of the entertainment staff were amazing - the entertainment manager and the kids club leader were amazing, if they could keep the other staff off their mobile phones, that would have been better! Food; personally we did not like, very repetitive, bland and limited choice. If you are vegetarian or vegan (we are not) then this is not for you unless you want to live off salad and fruit for your holiday. Plenty of salad but only a couple of meat choices. Some desserts but if you want ice cream then this is only available from 3pm each day until it runs out, no ice cream at any meals. Food is available around the hotel almost all the time but often is stale and dry. Drink; plenty of bars, limited choice of beer but there are spirits and cocktails so everyone should be able to find something, plenty of soft drinks available. Cleanliness; overall quite good although the toilets often run out of paper and smelt very unpleasant. Amenities; 1 indoor pool, freezing! 2 outdoor pools were ok, water slides only open when lifeguard was there which was only for a couple of hours in the morning and then a couple hours in the afternoon. Beach is very stoney so make sure you take water shoes, plenty of deckchairs but always taken early by people placing towels on them. Despite the hotel saying you cannot do this, no-one monitors nor enforces this. Games room was ok but the pool tables are not level and the pool balls are badly worn to the point that the cue ball had dents in it, we literally watched the cue ball roll in an arc before rocking to a stand still on a dent! We didn't use the gym, sauna, massage, hair salon or beauty treatment services so cannot comment on those. There is a shop in the hotel but be warned it is much more expensive then the shops that are 450 meters from the hotel in both directions. Money; very odd set up, no facilities to obtain cash at the hotel at all. Mostly deals in € rather than Turkish lira but also take $ and £, they will reluctantly accept lira but make sure the exchange rate is right before you pay as they hike the price up hoping you won't understand. They do take card payments. Room; nice enough but very small, bathroom is tiny, I am 5'7" and weigh 78kg (not big i think) but I could barely fit in the shower cubicle and get the doors shut, let alone move around to wash myself. No sound proofing whatsoever, when our neighbours showered it was like our shower was running, if they spoke to each other it was as if they were in the same room as us! The same applied with the toilet. But the air con works and as mentioned, the room was cleaned daily. Trips; book on 'get your guide' app, or another app like it, independent trip guides that come to your hotel charge almost double and do not tell you of all that is available. It's worth noting that this hotel seems to be very popular with mostly Russian, Polish, Czech and German people so the hotel accommodate them only, of all the flags at the front of the hotel, the English flag is not one of them, this may explain the limited spoken English all the staff have. Overall, the holiday was ok, Turkey is lovely with nice people, beautiful weather, beautiful places to visit. We would go to Turkey again, just not to that hotel and we would not recommend that hotel.
