This was our second stay at The Adalya and it was just as brilliant as the first time if not better. I’ll always do an honest review, please go back through to last year and read the previous one if you wish! Check in was easy- front of house staff are amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. Prior to our arrival I emailed and requested a room in the same area as last year - we arrived and this request was met - very impressed, thank you for being so accommodating! Room - spacious, clean and a room with a pool view - perfect! Cleaned daily, towels and bedding replaced daily and the maid was very helpful when our daughter was poorly (she swallowed too much sea water!No fault of the hotel!) mini bar topped up regularity and fresh bottled water always available in the room or around the hotel. Food - we always found something to eat in the buffet - there were various themes running through the week, the Chinese theme was delicious! The pool snack bar always had food available throughout the day, the pizza is delicious! We never made it down for breakfast but I have no doubt there would have been equally a good choice of food! We arrived after midnight and were able to find food in the buffet area to eat. We booked into the Italian restaurant during our stay, you can book one restaurant if staying for a 10 night stay and two restaurants for a 14 night stay. Let’s say the Italian food was not at all what I thought it would be BUT it turned out to be very tasty and went down well with all of us! Pool - yes, irritating as it was, the loungers were reserved at a ridiculous hour and often loungers not occupied for hours, this is often a standard holiday trait in most countries, irritating however when you have you lounger, go into the pool for a cool down and the staff decide to take your parasol to give to someone else…. Let’s say I chased him down and told him to return it!! The pool was cleaned every night, always immaculate around the pool area and it’s huge!! Plenty of space for everyone with their inflatables! The slapping of the pool noodles during aqua gym is annoying when you’re trying to relax but not half as annoying as the instructor blowing her whistle every second… no need!! Kids club/mini disco- we travelled with our six year old daughter, very shy and reserved…. Kids club staff were amazing, Michaela from Hydrotour, you were our very own super hero taking great care of Olivia and being able to communicate with her freely with English. We don’t speak Turkish or German so the language barrier with staff not speaking great English was always going to be there but the effort and care from the kids club staff was great! If I had to make a negative comment it would be the ‘boss’ of kids club… a little too bossy with the staff and definitely keen to show she was in charge! (Blonde hair, always on her phone, keen to dictate what everyone should be doing yet not taking part herself and always wearing something incredibly short and not overly practical in my opinion for kids club!) mini disco was great and enjoyed by all, the science show was also good. Entertainment - We never stayed to watch the entertainment after mini disco purely because the amphitheatre was so hot! I understand the shows were good however. Evening entertainment around the pool area… some live singers left a lot to be desired with their singing but maybe it just wasn’t our cup of tea! Beach area- beautiful!!! The sea was warm and clean - No complaints! Local area - we ventured down to the shopping area and felt able to look around confidently without being hassled! Yes you can haggle and if they don’t like your price just walk away, they’ll soon make you a new offer! Would we stay again for a third time? Absolutely! A special thanks to the front of house staff, buffet and bar staff for feeding us and keeping us well ‘hydrated’ and Kids club, mainly Michaela! You are all amazing!!
