“10/10 incredible”

Steak restaurant was incredible. The food was 10/10 it was cooked to perfection and the service was also 10/10! Nurulla was our waiter and he could not have been any more attentive and helpful the full night, he made our evening very enjoyable. Best evening meal by far. Would highly recommend

We just returned from this hotel. It was our fifth stay there. This time, we were still impressed by the beautiful green grounds, well-maintained and clean pools, and a nice beach. The service in the restaurants was also quite good. Many waiters spoke English, always tried to help, and served quite quickly. That was pleasant, and we appreciate it. However, we were quite disappointed with several aspects, considering the hotel markets itself as one of the best for family vacations. A few years ago, when I visited it with my family, there were plenty of activities for children. There was a large open amphitheater for kids with discos, contests, and more. There was also an open-air cinema where kids could eat popcorn and watch cartoons. During the day, there were various activities like bubble shows, contests, and more. This year, none of this existed at all. There were a few activities like drawing and crafts only in the kids' center, and a very modest evening disco in a small amphitheater, which was uncomfortable and too hot for all guests with children. No large open amphitheater, no cinema, no extra entertainment at all. Therefore, the "Kids Concept" positioning did not live up to expectations this year. Secondly, the bathrooms in the rooms and the corridors are very outdated and shabby, matching the standard of a three-star hotel. Lastly, and probably the most disappointing, was the food. The price for accommodation this year was higher than usual, but the menu offered was very modest with no variety from day to day. There was barely any fresh fish, and the meat options were very limited. Every day, it was the same fries, fried onion rings, stews, sausages, and very limited cold cuts for breakfast. The fruit selection was also poor with the same apples, watermelons, pears, poorly washed strawberries, and green bananas every day. No grapes, ne cherry accordingly to season, nothing of that. The children's menu was also lacking, with unappetizing sausages and cereals that many kids didn't like. The main dishes for kids were limited to semolina and buckwheat, which is not appealing to children growing up in Europe. White bread ran out quickly, and the desserts were the same low-quality pastries every day. The only tasty items were the Turkish sweets. The salad options were also repetitive with no variety day to day. The cheese selection was good and available in unlimited quantities, which was nice. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with the food. This level of cuisine does not match a five-star rating at all. The spa center was good, with professional Thai masseuses providing excellent massages. Overall, we enjoyed the good weather, pools and the evening shows. However, hotel has much to improve. Our first visit was after the renovation in 2007, and it was truly a five-star experience back then. Over the years, it seems to have degraded. This year was particularly disappointing, so we will consider other options for our next vacation.

The hotel was nice and clean and the majority of staff were helpful. The bedrooms need refurbishing as the one we stayed in has paint drips down the wall. The pools are great however the tiles outside are extremely slippery and also exploded due to the heat. The waiters bringing drinks round to the pool were an excellent addition. We dined at two of the al a carté restaurants. The Italian was fantastic and the waiter could not do enough for us even though he was working on his own and had other tables in the restaurant. Our water and wine glasses were never empty and as soon as we had finished a course he was there making sure everything was ok and clearing plates. We then went to the steak house for a birthday dinner which we told the staff about however found them to be inattentive and would take a very long time to bring food or clear plates away. We had one glass of wine which was not refilled and a glass of water that was filled once. It felt like because we had turned down buying their very expensive optionally wine and champagne they lost interest in us. The hotel restaurant always had a good selection of food available during meal times. The market shop and souvenir shop are total ripoffs and are capitalising on the fact that if you need something they can charge whatever. The day before checkout I was stood behind someone else checking out who asked about a transfer to the airport the same day and was accommodated straight away when I asked the same question for a transfer the following day I was told I had not given them enough time to arrange one and the staff were rude to me so it seems it’s one rule for one customer and another rule for others. We spent the majority of our pool time by the 16+ pool which apart from the first day had kids and families splashing around which isn’t a problem except the family pools were not that busy and had space in them. This was my first trip to turkey and I will definitely be coming back but I don’t think to this hotel it is stated as being a 5 star but is a very high 3/4 star at best.
