“Paradise”

Its a beautifull resort, very clean and tidy. Its a Paradise of Turkey, we are really happy back home. Entertainment team was amazing, thank you Selcuk and Guney for the beautifull experience....... We will be back for holiday...........

“Needs improvement- definitely catered for Germans”

Was looking forward to this hotel having previously stayed in the TUI Magic Life Masmavi and disappointed to say, this one definitely does not compare. Check in was fine, bell boy met us and took our cases, went to reception where we were told dinner was still open until 21:30 but gave no information about things around the hotel other than “download the app” information or some sort of map wouldn’t been helpful as the hotel is a maze and we found the villas to be random rather than running in some sort of order. Upon reaching our room I found our air on wasn’t working, called reception who kept trying to tell me it was universally set to 24 degrees, which I already knew to be incorrect as other members of our party had theirs set to 18 (which is the lowest it goes) reception eventually sent someone to fix it, they couldn’t and reception told me it’d be fixed the next morning, again I questioned this as I had a 3 year old child and the heat was unbearable, they brought a ‘ventilator’ which done little more than push the warm air around the room, reception eventually, reluctantly, moved us rooms where the air con worked fine. Rooms are fine, everything you need is there, there are some paper bags which I assume contained essentials (I never opened them as had brought all our own things) balcony is tiny, and not really usable to sit out on, again fine for us as we generally only use the balcony to hang out wet swimming clothes out. Housekeeping were brilliant. Didn’t really use the main pool, partly because I have a small child but also because the steps into it were literally in the ‘Wunderbar’ which was by far the worst bar I’ve experienced, drinks were all flat! We witnessed 2 shows, one was some singers from South Africa, which were good, the other a belly dancing performance which was also ok, the stage is tiny though so any performance is done on the floor. There are no fans or air on of any sort other than over the bar so it’s extremely hot. Never went into the amphitheatre as it was mostly playing the football games. App said kids disco on at 20:00 but the 3 nights we actually stayed in the hotel we never seen a kids disco of any kind. One night they did have games and inflatables set up in the garden, unfortunately due to parents leaving their children to run wild it wasn’t really safe for younger kids. There was a foam party on the beach one day, it is a stone beach rather than sand, so keep your shoes on. Was good fun, but wear glasses or goggles as everyone complained of their eyes stinging. The children’s pool is poorly situated as the closet bar is the under bar which would mean having to take your children to the bar each time they needed a drink as they wouldn’t be visable otherwise. The aqua park is really good, however again due to parents letting their kids run wild, it can be unsafe for littler ones. The final day of our holiday the lifeguards did seem to be more proactive in stopping the bigger kids run up the slides and throw themselves down immediately after a smaller child., resulted in my child being kicked it the face and busting her lip. Lifeguard was quick to administer first aid then what I believe may of been the head lifeguard came to find us to check she was ok and ask if we wanted to see the dr (we didn’t) but it was nice that they seemed to care. Snack vans are really good. There was plenty of selection in main buffet restaurant and different variations each night. This hotel is definitely aimed towards German tourists, and the 3 other English families we met all felt the same. Watersports station puts on a free banana boat (1ride per person per day) if you want to book parasailing they tell you to do so through the hotel, however if you turn right on the beach and walk to the edge of the hotel there is a watersport station which I found reasonably priced. It was often a struggle communication with staff as they weren’t great with English, seemed to communicate great with German which again shows it’s more for German tourists. Overall it was an ok stay, but I wouldn’t return.

A very honest review of this hotel is its exceptionally average. We are on our final night of a 4 day stay (after 4 nights at Land of Legends) and I’m genuinely confused by all the raving reviews. Positives: 1. Life guards around the pool are really friendly 2. Communal areas are clean Negatives: 1. The rooms are exceptionally basic. A premier inn is nicer. Bathrooms are really dated and out of shape. 2. The hotel taxi service is a total rip off (€130 vs €70 from our usual private transfer company) so we ordered a private taxi for a trip to Antalya town. Upon our return, security wouldn’t let our taxi up to the front of the hotel and made us walk with our shopping and our 3 sleeping children in the blistering heat from the security gate up to the entrance. We are paying guests and this type of mistreatment is really disgusting. 3. The food is very average 4. The staff are generally rude, maybe because we’re English and the hotel seems to generally cater for German guests (who are also really rude) 5. I can’t understand what the target audience here is. It’s not overly family friendly as the access around the site is really difficult with a pram and the gardens are nice to look at but you get ravished by mosquitos. 6. Rooms aren’t cleaned until late afternoon so if you have young children who need a nap before dinner your room won’t be cleaned Definitely not a five star hotel. A UK 3 at a push. Not terrible but certainly wouldn’t return. Spend the extra money and stay at the Land of Legends for a family holiday. The only reason we didn’t do the whole stay there was due to lack of availability, we won’t be making the same mistake next year. We’ve potentially been unlucky with who we’ve encountered during our stay but for this place to claim it’s a 5 star hotel and puts its’ guests first is a huge misrepresentation in our opinion.
